You've got to hand it to Michael Curtiz. The cinematography in this film stands head and shoulders above even the best of the rest.

Couldn`t agree more...I watched "King Creole" a couple of nights ago for the first time in quite a while...I had forgotten how great it looked...nothing came close after that.(y)(y)(y)

Although King Creole is by far Elvis' best movie, my favorite scene of all time is from Jailhouse Rock when he tells his girlfriend "You're not going to hate me. I'm not going to let you hate me." and then he just plants one on her, almost like he's attacking her...........and concludes "its just the beast in me." Gets me every time.:blush:

Elvis had me crying, with the little girl in "Change of Habit", the scene was beautiful. How anyone can doubt Elvis' acting ability, I have no idea.

I haven't had the opportunity to watch "Change of Habit", I can't wait until I do.

Since you have written that this is the end of the movie, Betti, I stopped watching, just as Elvis was playing football, as I don't want to ruin the ending.

Yes, really touching scene, I can't help it, but I can hardly hold back crying when I see this scene with him and how he holds and talks to that little girl. Dear, it was not the ending scene from the movie, the ending scene is where he sings "Let Us Pray" in the temple. The ending and that song is my fav from the movie as well. I have never seen anyone in any movies who was so happy like Elvis was when he sang that song at the end of this movie. It was unbelievable. Unfortunately I don't have the movie...
