Do you think Elvis should have accepted the offer to be in the movie "A Star Is Born?Please explain..

I don't know. Barbara was not known to be easy to work with and with Elvis' short temper...???? But maybe I'm wrong, maybe it would have worked out. Elvis wasn't at his best at the time the part was offered to him so again, I really don't know if it turned out for the best of not.

I read that Elvis didn't want to do it and told the Colonel to make it so she wouldn't agree to the terms. I didn't like the movie and I don't personally think that would have been a good part for Elvis. He needed something that was more over the top without any singing at all. Not even a title song.
Charro was supposed to have had a lot more parts where Jess Wade would kill without thinking twice about it. He wanted it kept in but they cleaned it all up and the movie suffered. That's just what he needed something over the top that no would expect of him. Not another singing role with cheap dialog.
