Described as "This Would be A Perferct Gift For Any Elvis Fanatic!" is an "Actual Fork Elvis Presley ate off of in 1976" from a Bristol, Tn, Holiday Inn. The story goes, "As one of the maids came out of his room with a tray of dishes and left over food people swarmed to get whatever they could of the tray, it was mayhem! A friend of mine by the name of Kathy, brother in law got right in the mayham and was able to grab this fork. He gave it to Kathy because of her love for Elvis and he knew she wasn't going to get to see him at the concert.
Since 1976 Kathy has kept the fork wrapped in plastic in a safe place. Looking at the fork closely there are still particles of food on it that has dryed on it. Kathy wants to sell it now because she really wants to be a blessing to her church , family and friends."
EIN Note: How they know that Elvis used the fork, as opposed to anyone else in the room, is not explained. My problem with items like this that people claim belonged to Elvis is that there is no way to prove their authenticity.

There's no way I'm going to spend 1 million on that. She probably has been licking it since 76.

WAY too high of price - AND how do you know Elvis ate with it? Could've been a MM Member of something.

Other than his brief stop over in Washington DC (and even that is subject to speculation) did Elvis ever stay in a hotel room alone?
This could be any number of people's fork!
Imagine treasuring and licking a fork for over 30 years, oblivious to the knowledge that it was from Marty Lacker's corned beef hash. http://smiley.net.ru/emoton178.gif

Does anybody remember the world before it went insane?.....A million dollars for a plastic fork...people are dying every few minutes of disease and hunger, people are living in cardboard boxes.....and a plastic fork, that may or may not have been used by Elvis, is recieving bids like that......I would really love to hear what Elvis would have to say on that!.......:)

It is kind of shame if not embarassing how people would put anything that has Elvis on it to get easy money....

I mean really if this lady been to Antiques Roadshow, that fork will not appraised as THAT much of money regardless whose DNA was on it

I know, it's so ridiculous!

I have seen Antiques Roadshow on tv and they always want to see the authenticity of the item, I don't know how this person is selling a fork claimed to be used by Elvis...at 1milliion, no less

These people who have submitted their bids on this fork must really have money to burn and it is a shame when so many people are starving. They also have to be rich and pretty crazy as there is no way this fork can be authenticated....and even if it could be....one million dollars to even start the bidding on a fork no matter who may have used it!
