I've never seen this clip. In parts of TTWII Elvis looks like he has "bed head"..forgot to comb his hair and that's part of what makes him so natural in this film....love it!

Wow I really enjoyed that. It is so nice to see new video, it kind of brings him back to life. I am always amazed at his energy. He just could not sit still even to listen to a song. Thanks for sharing . Kim

They were playing it back for the musicians to learn the songs.

The demos sound like they were mixed different from the final released versions. I don't know what they did to his voice but he sounds more natural on these demos.

Its still amazes me that his voice has such a rich and warm quaility but with a vulnerability that can express emotions that words cannot express -- even when the undubbed videos such as these when he is rehearsing and humming along. He was truly blessed with a gift that most mere musicians could ever hope to have.

Thanks for that one Jen..love it. I love the way Elvis always seems so aware of every sound that is going on within the songs,it`s like he is playing all the instruments in his mind as well as singing the song. Thanks again.(y)(y)(y)

These aren't demos he's listening to. They are acetates of the studio masters from the June session in Nashville. Most of the musicians hadn't been there to learn the songs, so they were only now hearing them for the first time.

In Elvis' case, the term "demo" refers to a demonstration disc recorded by a singer or songwriter and sent in to Elvis for him to consider recording. I seem to remember part of the demo of "Next Step Is Love" being audible in the outtakes on the new FTD 2-CD version of "That's The Way It Is".
