your favorite bootleg footage

over the past 20 some odd years or more there has bin alot of bootleg film of concerts , and most if have bin real bad but some have bin great , of course everyone is familliar wih pitts 76 as being one of the best especially the up close footage , but i also like buffallo 72, witchita 72 , chicago 72 the afternoon performance , also like alot of the vegas 75 films , so what about you what are some of your faves and do you still collect this stuff?

someone posted the San Antonio concert - can't remember the year, I liked those ones. i'll have to check my files and see if i saved them.

Hmm, that's a tough one. There's so much that now exists and especially through Youtube to really pick just one. For me, I would have to say that anything from 71 and 74 would be my favorite footage because it's the rarest and he was in true form, like in LA in 74.

Houston 71 might be the clearest to date with great audio to go with it.

There is some footage of Elvis in the KING OF SPADES suit from June '77 in Kansas City where he does, among other songs, BLUE CHRISTMAS and the ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT routine with Charlie Hodge which is hilarious!!! The footage is in excellent quality, albeit rather short....around 10 or 15 minutes.

Another must have in terms of bootleg footage is the St. Louis show from March '76 where he is wearing the SABRE TOOTH TIGER suit. This footage was filmed from right up front and with the exception of some yellowing of the picture in the middle of the footage, this is right up close footage of Elvis....plus most of the show was filmed, around 45 minutes or so!!! :D

Then of course the Pittsburgh '76 New Year's Eve show ranks right up there too!! ;)

Couldn't agree more, so sad that high level Elvis was on didn't carry on into 1977, easily one of my favorite tours.

Also one more thing Sonny, The footage you posted is from the June 17th 1972 Evening show with Elvis obviously wearing the Blue nail. There is also footage from the matinee show that same day running at 12:50 with Elvis wearing the White Two piece suit/Blue Colored shirt and the Gold Attendence Belt...really great stuff(y)(y)(y)

Pittsburgh '76 New Year's Eve seemed like a really great show. There is so much different footage around, different angles, it has been put together and looks more like ptofessionally show. That aside, Elvis seemed to be really at the top of his game.
