View Full Version : Need help finding a version Polk Sallad Annie!

Im looking for a special version of Polk Sallad Annie recorded in Las Vegas around 1970.
I have it on a LP called Live in Las Vegas but i want it on cd.

I hope anyone can help me with this and i dont have a Lp player anymore.

Its a version where James Burton plays hard in the begining!!!:king:

Would this be the version found on the 8 LP box set from 1980 called Elvis Aron Presley? That box set is now on cd in a 4 cd set book format.

Yea the Lp was from some box but i only had that one Lp;
What is the name on the cd box? (same name?)

You're referring to the silver box set (8 LP set). The version of PSA on there is a reheresal I believe.

It's not a rehearsal version. It's from the 8/13/70 show.

It's been 20 years since I listened to it. Thanks for the correction. Maybe the rest of that side was rehersals. I seem to remember Sweet Caroline, You've Lost That Lovin' Felling and some others.

Yea its from the silver box set:) now i remember that so can i find that version or LP on CD? Yes. It's on cd format now. You can check Best Buy, FYE or Circuit City in the box set sections in their stores.

Also on that set was about 3/4 of the Dalls show in June 75 but the sound is very dull as it's copied straight from vinyl to cd.

Well at Amazon.com i find the Elvis Silver box cd for 100 pund =(
Its to much becasue i only want one song from it.

Im gonna ask a question and i dont think this is unlegal. is there any kind soul out there who an send this Song to me (MP3) from that box?

(I know its unlegal to share songs in big numbers but its not unlegal to give away 1 i think/hope:king:

I like this versionof PSA as well but I think it's been overdubbed. It sounds arranged differently instrumentally than the usual from that season. Many of the songs from that box set were tampered with one way or the other.

As far as the song is concerned the best versions imo are from 1970, and the '72 versions are kick butt too !!

Like Tutt said, the song became a parody of itself in the last year or two when it was performed, but I have to disagree with him there, but the versions from the December (last) tour of that 1976 were awesome!!
