No, that's definitely not Manson. Manson had already been locked up in prison by 1974. He was put in prison on April 19, 1971

Good question...I tend to forget about him. He was the first "suspect" best I remember.:blink:

I realize that now, my friend. It does look a bit like Manson, though.

"Helter Skelter" was a very...interesting book. I still have a paperback copy I found at a flea market. I still read it from time to time.

Good thing it's not Manson, he despized Elvis and had planned to make him one of his next victims. Charlie boy said so when interviewed in prison a few years ago by 20/20.

Elvis is saying to "Charlie", Hey, Man how did you get out of San Quinten? I'm a D.E.A. agent and you're under arrest!

Charlie would have loved to get near Elvis. He wanted so badly to be in the music business and he did get to know Doris Days son, music and film producer, Terry Melcher- and one of the Beach Boys. They, for a time, found him chrismatic like his followers did, but they realised pretty quickly he was a...... how do I put this.........nut. I recently watched an in prison interview with Charlie and he is still as.......how do I put this.........nut.

Terry Melcher had lived in the house where the murders took place..that's why they were familiar with it. And YES...he is still a stark-raving mad, a lunatic.:blink:

I sure do remember when that happened. We were living in California at the time but in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I also saw an interview with Manson on TV a few years ago too and he looked and sounded just as manic as he always was. I can't believe he still has followers but I've heard that's so. They should round them up and put them away too before they get wound up and do something as horrid.

I swish he had tried to get near EP, I think ol' Charlie would have been taken out by one of the boys if not The King himself. "These hands are deadly weapons, son."

OH YEAH!!!

This is one person I can say without guilt that I wish someone had taken him out before he was put in prison. I believe not many thank goodness, but a few people in history and the here and now have given up the right to call themselves "human" (and "animal" is much too good).

you saw Elvis in Houston? I have a close friend who was at the same show. He has some awesome pictures he said he'd never sell or put out for the public to see. I only got to see them cause he said that he was impressed with my show.

This is amazing! I always thought that his silence was deafening and he's always been the last big mystery about this case for me.

While he can't be considered a suspect, it was always implausible that he would have not heard anything (just given the proximity of the guesthouse where he was) and I always felt that he must be traumatized to have claimed ignorance about the events.
It was the thing about Helter Skelter which never added up for me.

I totally agree. It's hard to buy that he never heard the screaming and/or the gun shots. They turned the grounds and house into a slaughterhouse, yet he heard nothing? Even "Kato" admits he heard a "bump" outside his house...a fact that he now says was probably the "killer" disposing of his ONE glove.:blink::blink::blink:

A few years back I heard Charles Manson actually recorded a CD in prison and it was released to stores.

I don't know if that's true but I do know Axl Rose and the Beach boys recorded songs that he wrote.

And didn't Garretson originally claim to have woken up in the morning, let the dog out and resumed slumber until the early afternoon or something?
From that location he would have been able to see Folger's body when he opened the door and the dog probably would have significantly compromised the evidence, since the lawn resembled an enticing butcher's shop window to a hungry canine quadruped first thing in the morning.

Yes...it was something along those lines. I'm going to pull out my Helter Skelter later tonight and refresh our memory. Steve Parent was their visiting with Garretson...it would have been interesting if he had left 3 minutes later than he did. Between the 2 of them...one shoud have heard something. More than likely Parent AND Garretson would have been killed.:blink:

Right! Talk about unfortunate timing!
And all about trying to sell a clock/radio (although rumors suggest that there was more to the visit than that, which would at least explain the conspicuous silence).

your husband is right

To me Geraldo exaggerates things and acts like he knows more about certain subjects than he really does like Elvis for example.

people named Brian are really smart.
