And in other news, I am claiming that I am Elvis' lost son. See, anyone can claim this.

There are actually a couple of other threads about this very same thing.
And I agree with the above poster....I still think it's B.S.

Could be true, Vernon was a player. Maybe this was one the things The Colonel had on Elvis' family that he used to con Elvis.

I don't know what to think of it...I'm still shocked!
I never really thought that anything like this would come out...You always think that these kind of claims are made more towards Elvis,defianantly not Vernon...

I think that's ^ a big clue that this is a bunch of you-know-what.
It's most likely someone wanting to cash in on Elvis's legacy.

I don't believe this either because her name is a huge red flag! But even if she was Vernon's daughter it doesn't entitle her to Elvis' estate.... right? I really haven't read his will. ^_^;

I'am just going to wait to see what happens cause you never know..
I'm still not sure what she thinks to accomplish even if she is found to be Vernons. She can not touch the estate-Vernon had no interest in it except as executor and being provided for during the rest of his life. If she is his daughter then his personal property/money and any real estate property he may have owned (in his name) at the time of death she may have some claim to. She may think she will be offered a settlement of some kind out of court from Lisa-or perhaps the fame of being a Presley could get her some book deal or a film of her life which would put bucks in her pocket. Hard to say.

As I understand....it`s just a matter for her to find out who she really is and where she comes from. I can imagne beeing adopted and only find out about it when you are 40......everyone would try to find out who your real mother and father is. I´t`s a little strange about her name though....I agree about that..

Yep sometimes it take along time to find out anything when you get adopted, but now its alittle bit easier, but if anything happened to this girl and her file has abuse on it, children's aid take along time for you to go though you file cause of the fact they don't want you to go out do something bad to who hurt you, so either way its a waiting game.

Oh Lawdy, I've never heard such a thing. I think I would have. My MIL couldn't stand Vernon, I'm pretty sure she would have passed that tid bit on to me!
I can understand wanting to know who your parents are-but what has that to do with filing a suit to reopen Vernons estate? She obviously thinks she is Vernons daughter, how would reopening the estate tell her anything for sure about the question of her heritage?
IMO the only reason to reopen someones estate, whom you believe may be your father, is to see what you can get from that estate (if anything)
Many people search each year to find their birth parents-but most (not all) do so because they desire to see in person their true parent-to put to rest that inner question of "who were they?" and "what were the circumstances of me being put up for adoption?" Few want anything beyond that except maybe some type of ongoing contact with those birth parents.
I can see this no other way except as a way for monetary gain of some nature by this person from the estate.
