Don't know but if he had married her I would bet it would not have lasted very long. Too many years between them IMO

I don't think the age issue was really the biggest issue between them because Elvis liked dating younger women and Elvis would have likely continued that trend if he lived. I do think the problem between Elvis and Ginger was that when he wanted her to do something like go on tour or to a session with him she wouldn't do it and when he wanted to be with her she had he family with them all the time something he didn't like.
If he didn't marry linda he wouldn't have married Ginger, I just don't see Elvis marrying again unless he met someone he really fell head over heels in love with them and got he's playing around with other women out of his system.

He was already trying to hook up with Sandy Miller who at the time was 16, Please correct me if I'm wrong people. It was too much for her to handle. I don't think Elvis would have gone through with it. He already got wind of Ginger, sneaking out to discos to hook up with other guys.
My theory on why Elvis wasn't attracted to Priscilla sexually was, he knew she was doing something behind his back. He had good intuition about people but I don't think he expected, Mike Stone.

I'm sorry I got the name Minde Miller mixed up the girl I meant witch was Alicia Kerwin who was 21.
He told Billy on the morning of August 16th 1977, that maybe he should invite Alicia Kerwin out for the first part of the tour

It's a fact. Ginger was on her way out of Graceland permanently right before Elvis was to have begun the 'tour that never happened'.

I've always felt that Ginger was just a side-effect of his general condition at that time.
His body and mind were deteriorating, which exacerbated his mid-life crisis and clouded his judgement in equal measure.
He wasn't the first guy to seek a woman half his age to make himself feel alive and he won't be the last, but these dalliances rarely evolve into long-term commitments.

Remember in EIC when Elvis introduced Ginger to the audience? He said "id like you to say hello to my girlfriend Ginger"? Why didn't he say fiancee'? If he really wanted to marry her then he would've said fiancee' Or announced it to the press!:hmm:

Actually, Getlo, some of the boys had her 'followed' and did find out that she was seeing another guy behind Elvis's back.
It's not a fact she was on her way out because we did not hear that from Elvis. It's all been hearsay.
Just because we don't hear things straight from Elvis's mouth doesn't mean that it isn't true. I'd tend to think that those around him would know a bit more than we all do.
The fact is that Elvis never intended to marry Ginger at all. He was just leading her on. He told Billy Smith (and I'm paraphrasing):
"I'm just getting too old and tired to train another one!".
Ginger was on her way out of Graceland. Elvis didn't plan on taking her on the 'tour that never happened' because she always complained about going on tour - she didn't enjoy that part of Elvis's life in the least.

EIN: What are your thoughts on Ginger Alden? Would they have got married?
Billy: Ginger always thought so. But Elvis had a way of putting things off. He always said "when the time was right". And he'd laugh... the time just never was right. I don't think they would have married

I don't think he would have gone through with it. She was a phony and all up another guys, you know what. She was just using him for his money and that was obvious. Just like Priscilla. She didn't even want Lisa Marie when she heard she was knocked up. Or so her B.S. book says that.
She had to put on her make up before calling for help after she found his body. And found a way to call The National Enquirer to sell her story.

Tony Trout I agree with you.
Nancy Rooks the cook recalled a fight Elvis had wiht Ginger, the day or so before the tour, and she said that Elvis said to Ginger and I quote "If you don't go tonight, then you not going at all, because there will be someone else out there in your spot". And Dick Grob talked with Elvis that night of the 16th and asked if arrangements had been made for this other girl to join Elvis on that tour.
Many of the insiders say Ginger was to blame for much of Elvis' heartache the last year because he was so in love with her they said, and she had a really low way of returning it. And it hurt him alot when she would not go on tour etc with him.

Agreed. You have to imagine what it was like for her to start dating Elvis Presley the king of all kings, who was addicted to prescription drugs, expected her to wait on him hand and foot etc. That must have been a huge change for her, and it had to be difficult for both because everything she waned to do, he had already done it.

Not in it for the money? did you know that, her and her family tried to get Vernon to pay off the rest of the house Elvis helped them get a loan on after Elvis died?
And that she was the first one to call the newspapers and TV stations for interviews after he died?
In my opinion this was another Priscilla in the makings. Remember, Elvis didn't want to marry Priscilla he all ready had her, in that I mean, he didn't have to pay for the milk cause he had been getting it for free. Priscilla's family started blackmailing Elvis and The Colonel jumped at the chance to use it to his corny advantage to once again, clean up his image even more.
I don't think he was going to go through with it. Not unless he just wanted to use her to give him a son. She was already sneaking around on him, so she couldn't even control herself in that way.

I agree with Tina. I think Ginger was in it for the money in becoming the next Mrs. Presley and then there would have been another divorce. I think Elvis knew that was in her mind (having been through it once before) and had no intention of going through that again.

That is too funny(y)
The night he died the maid Nancy Rooks (sp) said he and Ginger had a fight and he told her if she didn't go on that tour than someone would be there to taker her place!
I figure E thought that if he didn't offer her something other than just being the girlfriend of Elvis Presley that she may not stay....And at the end it is clear that drugs ruled Elvis's life and well all know that it made him make some very bad decisions. So I do think he proposed to her, did he intend to marry her no.
I don't remember what book I read this in but he made a comment similar to the "it's like bring a sandwich to a banquet" (referring to Pris coming out to Hollywood) telling someone under his breath speaking about the engagement to Ginger "Whenever that will be?" I believe that conversation happened in a limo if I remember correctly
