I actually purchased the 3-dvd set of the '68 Comeback Special that includes all of the sit-down/stand-up performances with all of the footage shot for the Special, bloopers and all. I think that this dvd set was released in 2007. Its a great treat if you ever are able to purchase it!!!

The 3-DVD set of "Elvis: '68 Comeback Special" was released originally in June, 2004. Hard to believe it's been that long ago.....

The single-disc edition of the 68 Comeback Special was released last year (2007).

Ooops!! Whenever it was released, I actually purchased at Christmas last year (2007) and absolutely love it!!! What makes it even better is the commentary in the book that is also included. When I think of the '68 Comeback Special, I only think of the sit-down sessions because to me, they are the absolute best of Elvis in his entire career. I did enjoy the outtakes and the rest of the Special, but the 2 sit-down shows were absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! I liked all of the special too, but like you, I absolutely love the 2 sit-down shows especially. "Absolutely incredible" - you're spot on there (y)

Good thing EPE don't see all the 8mm fan footage thats on youtube. You can;t find about anything on there these days. Their use to be so much footage of EOT and TTWII outtakes on their but I guess EPE have taken much of that stuff down, or MGM or whoever owns the rights to the films.

I agree.....this 3 DVD set is a must have for every fan, it was one of the first Elvis DVD`s I ever bought and together with the 2 DVD set from Aloha, it`s one of those that I watch quite often.
