I remember seeing the Alternate ALoha (from the Aloha deluxe boxset) a few years ago. Whn he ran away from stage after the closing theme, wearing the cape, I suddenly felt like that kid again, being in awe of our champion.

James Brown did a cool bit with a cape being thrown around his shoulders as he would kneel on one knee and then he would slowly walk away-only to throw the cape off his shoulders and run back to the mike to continue singing. But Elvis strutting on stage in his cape to 2001-I agree was like a Superman.:)

the cape photos were fantastic - a real comic book hero come to life on stage. I also find the classic lags bent with guitar shots to be vintage Elvis - whether from the 50s or 70s.
