He did write the song and one of my favorite SUN singles for Elvis,I Forgot To Remember To Forget.

They performed on the same bill together at least once, eg Tupelo August 1st, 1955 and it stands to reason they would have crossed paths at other places.

I Forgot ... was co-written by Feathers, with Stan Kesler.
