My brother just came back from Afghanistan and is moving to a new house. So I took 2 weeks off from work to be with him and help him with his new house.

Although I love doing so, I'm kinda missing the Elvis Week 2008 this way. I'm not even able to be on TCB-World as often as I want to this week.

But I want to celebrate August 16. Believe it or not, but I'm going to an Iron Maiden concert in my hometown this saturday. Nothing much Elvis-ish. Besides that, I'm probably going to watch The Elvis On Tour Outtakes, watch some ElvisWeek clips on youtube and of course try to be here on TCB-World.

What are your plans for this saturday, August 16 ?

My country is nearly a day ahead of the United States so I will watch the candlelight vigil online on Saturday afternoon.

Then on Saturday evening we are off to the casino for a family dinner so I am hoping that they will recognise the day and have some tribute to Elvis and his music.

I'll put on one of my Elvis tee-shirt and listen to some of my Elvis records and remember the one and only King of Rock'n'Roll.

I put my body clock on to Memphis time tonight, so it will be a long one, listen to sirius radio, light my candle, and imagine i'm there with the fans as they walk up to the garden.
Tomorrow i will celebrate his life with happy music, and watch dvd's.
I wish they would bring the vigil cast live back.

I get sad... Sirius broadcast is turing touching for me. I'm a reporter, so I know how is to bring information to people and make them feel like they are in the middle of the whole thing. So this time, I'm having that feeling as audience... Oh my, this broadcast. I wish I could be in Graceland right now. :'( I've been waiting for many many years...
