I've always questioned the motives behind the firing of Red,Sonny, and Dave Hebler...supposedly it was due to pending lawsuits..
but there had to be more..."cutting some expenses"..these were Elvis' longtime friends...why would he let them go???...certainly Elvis could veto Vernon....right?
any thoughts??
does it really matter?....either way it's not gonna change what happened...

Well I think theres a number of things. If you ask me. I think most of Elvis lawsuits and etc. from his bodyguards and etc. Drinking makes you do a lot of things you don't want to do so.lol

? Elvis was never a big drinker, nor big on alcohol, for many reasons - one of which that he didn't hold alcohol well. The other that on the Smith side of the family there was a history of problems with alcohol which turned him off and, in the case of his mother, to a certain degree traumatized him (n) :'(
Vernon could put them away well, too...... :hmm: (n)

EP was teaching them all (especially The Wests) ........ a lesson.
Unfortunately, ............. they also decided to teach EP a lesson in return.

I couldn't agree more, Elvis had a way of always keeping the guys in line and on their toes, I do not believe he expected they would ever do the book.
