Hello!

I got some questions i hope anyone can answer me on (y)

I am wondering, in the 70`s, when the TCB-band and the backing groups + orchestra was travelling, was they traveling in a big plane some hours before the concerts, and setting up the instruments and so ? and then Elvis came some minutes before the concert ?

And also, i am wondering how the schedule was on a Elvis show.

Was is first a show with dancers and music, then the sweet insirations and JD sumner and the stamps quartet singing, then the announcer, and after that the main show startet with the 2001 A spa..........

Anyone ? :)

great question,,,something i've thought about at times too

as far as i know, there were actually 2 or 3 planes that followed Elvis (or maybe before)
one for Elvis, one for the musicians, and one for the equipment

Elvis of course stayed on the plane or stayed at the hotel until intermission,,,not really sure what the band did

the first part of the show was an opening group (some of which were pretty fair at best), then the sweet inspirations, jackie kahane, intermission, and then Elvis

(Elvis' band didnt get on stage until Elvis was about to go on, there was a different band for the opening acts

hope that helps

That's pretty much how it was....except that J.D. and The Stamps garnered the 'opening' slot in the Elvis show rather than the Sweet Inspriations sometime in the mid-70s and it stayed that way from then until Elvis's death.
