The trip to Tupalo in 1977

Wich month in 1977 was it when Elvis traveled to Tupalo for the last time ??

Apparently it was two weeks before his death in August.

So thats either late July or early August.

Probably late July.

Although I don't know if I fully believe that story - it would be great if it is true, im not sure if any of the guys have confirmed it though.

Yeah thats why I doubt it.

Janelle McCombe says he did with Lisa and brought her through the house.

He then went up the hill where he used play as a kid and looked down with Lisa over the park and birthplace house before leaving for Memphis.

He may have - he visited Tupelo a few times in the 70's.

I just doubt it as I think Janelle said that he came just with Lisa which doesn't sound right.

I'm sure Billy can confirm or deny this.

Lastnight when I was reading Last Train To Memphis Elvis was talking about Tupelo and he said, "**** Tupelo, I just want to forget about that place".

I don't think he was meaning to put it down but probably because of the hardtimes they had there and how everything happened to him in Memphis.
