Ok we all know that Elvis had many great songs during his career but tell me what songs from each decade were some of the worst?
50's- Steadfast, loyal and true- I dont really care for it.
60's- Harum Scarum soundtrack- This was bad.
70's- 3 Corn Patches
Opinions?

50s - Steadfast, Loyal and True - don't really think it fits Elvis at all
60s - Dominic/Old McDonald - could have easily done without either, movie fillers at their very worst
70s - Danny Boy - doesn't really appeal to me
I say that these are my thoughts on the worst songs that Elvis done, but when you compare it to the stuff out today they are still miles better than half the songs that (somehow) manage to get to the no.1 spot

Let's not ever forget He's Your Uncle, Not Your Dad. As for the 70's....let's do forget Three Corn Patches.
Some of the kids in school in the 70's would tease me about Elvis, that Elvis was uncool. I prayed that they never got their hands on Three Corn Patches.:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:

Every time that I hear SYLVIA I have the same memory. Whenever I had that album playing in the house or the 8-track(some just went....) playing in the car my Mom had the same comment. She would always say....."it sounds like he is saying CEREAL." Now...go have a listen. She was right.:lol::lol:

Three Corn Patches isn't great but there are worse from the 70s. This is our Dance springs to mind. Generally is 70s output is excellent.
Hard to find many real howlers from the 50s but there are an abundance from the 60s

50's - Harbor Lights, Tomorrow Night -- no real reason, just don't like them. I am also probably the only one who doesn't really like Love Me Tender that much.
60's - Suppose, There's Always Me, Western Union - although Western Union is kinda cute, it just seems like a rip off of Return to Sender, IMO.
70's - Rags to Riches.
I like Three Corn Patches, especially after I realized that the writers wrote it as a parody to C&W - in the style of Along Came Jones, and such
Movie songs - well, they were just to easy[&to many :D] to pick on - so I didn't bother to judge them. IMO, the movie songs aren't suppose to be song hits, just lyrical portions of the movie scripts.

SeeSeeRider, yes the Irish are very attached to Danny Boy. I grew up with a lot of Irish, in fact my first love was Irish and he did a pretty good rendition of it.:)
