In between the rare and unseen pictures of our Summer Special, we just got in this beauty. We have no idea about the occasion for this picture, all we know is that it looks like a 1973 shot, clearly taken backstage, with Elvis wearing the Today Suit and the Tulip Belt

I would say its backstage in Las Vegas during Elvis' August - September 1973 Engagement Judging by his weight etc.

The woman with Elvis is, I believe, May Mann.
I think she was working for Photoplay magazine around this time period.
She was a huge Elvis fan and supporter.

Midnight show. He wore the Inca Gold Leaf suit during the Dinner Show.

Priscilla and her parents were there in the audience that evening aswell.

I'm very interested in your personal experiances with Elvis. It's actually incredible to know someone who saw The King in person. :blush:
I actually know some people who saw Elvis as well... What was it like to hear the 2001 intro and the drums with the opening vamp and see ELVIS PRESLEY walking out? I always try to imagine that while listening to it...

I saw 2 shows on the 11th and the only one show on the 12th. I do not remember Priscilla being there but I do remember him introducing Ginger.

Hey Mozzarella!! I posted this YT clip for you to listen to, so that you would know at exactly what time I had a heart attack.:lol:
When this clip gets to around 39 or 40 seconds is where I would literally stop breathing. My heart would beat so hard I really felt like you could see it pounding. Especially in LV...I knew I was seconds away from him being an arm's reach away. I do remember one year Daddy leaned over and said "Breathe or you are going to faint."
