I voted for Elvis is Back. I belive it is, thinking of an album as a whole, Presley most balanced and perfect L.P. no fillers, and the play list works just fine.
If had the chance for a top 5 list mine would be:
1. Elvis is Back
2. Elvis Presley ('56 first album)
3. From Elvis in Memphis
4. On Stage
5. Elvis Country

!.ELVIS 56 (1st Album)
2.ELVIS 56 No:2
3.His Hand in Mine
4.From Elvis in Memphis

1.) From Elvis in Memphis- Was his statement to the World that the King is back.
2.) An Afternoon in the Garden- The sound is terrific and the crowd gets you all the time.

They're all great.
I went with "Elvis Country". The band was hot, the songs great and Elvis had his best voice of the '70s.

While all of the albums I have seen listed in this thread are great, I'm going to go out on a limb here and choose the soundtrack to "Girl Happy". Every time I hear those songs, I just smile.:)

My favorite isn't on the list. That would be "Pot Luck." The only Elvis album I've never tired of listening to at some point in my life. Of the choices on the list I'll go with the original "TTWII."
Speaking of Elvis music I am tired of: Everything from the "FEIM" sessions. Also, everything that has anything to do with the '68 TV Special.

INTERESTING LIST... :hmm:
Although there are lots of great choices on the list, I voted for BACK IN MEMPHIS just because there are so many great and very underrated (in my opinion) cuts on that album like INHERIT THE WIND, THIS IS THE STORY, STRANGER IN MY OWN HOMETOWN, and A LITTLE BIT OF GREEN.
Just some terrific cuts on this album that deserved more attention than they received back when this album was released. :'(
TCB!
