It is Tommy! All the software to create from cd cover to webpage, flash files ect. in 1 package.
After playing around...i finally found how to place pictures into a file, under the tab file you'll find a button "place" with that button you can import all kind of formats, like pdf, word, jpg, flash, html ect....
I did know that you can't import a graphic file as a new doc., but only "import" a file..so i was looking for the import button...but it was the "place" button to import a graphic file...sounds simple:lol:
I need to learn indesign cause i have to work with indesign on my (new) work, togheter with illustrator.
And to learn those 2 programms i got the whole CS3 package from my boss, for home use, to learn it.
I never would buy it in the store with the price tag it has now (1200,- euro):supriced::'(

Hi Patrick,
Indesign can't open or import files besides Indd. files. You can on the other hand "Place" most type of files into your working space or into an opject.(also Ctrl C / Ctrl V should always work but this is not the right way)
Why it is like this I don't know. But I can tell you Indesign only makes links of files when placing them inside your file. To really have them inside the files itself
you need to embed the pictures by using the links menu. This is something you normally do when finishing a job. You really need to do this when exporting to PDF or your PDF will show empy places where your pictures should be.
I would advise only tiff files to be opened in Indesign, and flatten them in Photshop when your sure your happy with the outcome. Also rescaling the pictures is something your should do in photoshop.

Thanks for the information unchained(y)(y)(y) I would like to purchase this program one day. I would love to be able to use it and see what it can do.(y) Maybe one day.:'(
