Wild in the country for me, great film, very good script, and Elvis did a really good job playing Glen, to me, one of his better films.

Wasn't it after Flaming Star or Wild IN The Country that didn't do very well at the boxoffice and Colonel told Elvis the fans didn't want to see serious movies so right come the movies with beaches, girls etc.

I voted for "Follow That Dream", but really they're all well written and out of the norm for Elvis. Hard decision :!::doh:

Always thought that was a good funny movie. And Elvis' costar as usual was smokin' hott!;)

I posted a poll yesterday about the same thing!!
I have to go with "Flaming Star" well scripted, first class director, great co-stars, good acting all around. Subject matter about prejudice and misunderstanding IMO well handled.

Can't make up my mind between "Wild In The Country" and "Kid Galahad". There are meaningful things in both movies - I like this song from the latter: the man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing.. he's the king! Of the whole wide world.. C'mon an' si-hing, sing brother sing, ahaha..

Flaming star for me. Maybe because it was the first Elvis' movie I saw in my life and I'm kind of emotional towards it.

Wild in the Country for me, although, of course, I love them all. I love the song I Slipped, I Stumbled, I Fell and I adore the scene where he and Hope Lange are singing Husky Dusky Day - it's just so natural and at ease.
Kid Galahad - I love the line "do I still get my $5?"

I also love Flaming Star and I think Elvis did a good job in it
But I've always loved Wild In The Country...I love everything of that movie and it's one of the movies I've seen often...I even learnt all the lines

This was a tough choice.
I decided to go for Flaming Star, since it's truly his most dramatic role. Wild In The Country would be a close second.
Flaming Star however gave our man the chance to work with Don Siegel, a great director, known for directing Clint Eastwood in several movies.

This thread has encouraged me to give Flaming Star and Wild In The Country and play tonight on the DVD Player.
Both I have yet to see, so think that will be a good idea for tonight!!(y)

Siegel also directed John Waynes last film "The Shootist" and the cult classic from the 50s "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"
He always gave Elvis credit for a good performance and felt he had acting ability.
