and his Audobon Drive home. People think I've from the south when they've talked to me. This boy really was from the South and spoke accordingly. ;)
He was also very nervous and stuttered a lot. Of course, to me; that was just part of his charm. !

This is great Cameron. I've never seen that much of the inside of the house and the interview with Wink was cute. Elvis really had a strong southern accent then.

Is this the same interview we've seen with Elvis leaning over on a jukebox with his head cocked to the side chewing gum? I have to smile every time I see that one....don't know anyone else who was so unaffected and natural.

Thank you for posting,

Diane

I can't prove it's the same interview .;)
Just sounds like a much longer version. It's the "jukebox" clip I was looking for and found this one.
Yes, you can certainly hear his strong southern accent here . He seems so young too. It was a much better time for him; but he seemed very nervous.

I have relatives from the deep south. To talk to them on the phone is almost impossible. I keep sayong "huh"?? But they keep putting up with me. :P

Great interview! I didn't realize that Wink was a southern boy until I saw
the other Elvis/Wink interview!

And I love Elvis' stuttering - it's charming - totally charming!

Cameron, I loved it! Great video and great interview, as well. I like his accent, too. I find it...sexy. I finally saw how this house was from inside. The old decoration...Thank you, Cameron!(y) I also didn't know that Elvis' favorite song back then was "I was the One"! It is also one of my favorites!

As for that accent of his Liana, I can't argue with you. Whoever said that his voice sounded like melted caramels was right!!!

Yep, I was glad I found it . He was so young, innocent and ready to take on the world. :) I've seen many point out his words slurring, the stutterng, etc. What so many don't remember is; he always talked that way.
He also forgot what he was going to say many times. It was just a part of him. When I first saw him, I commented on how nervous he always seemed.
I've got a grandson like that . School is rough for him !
There's many things we know today that we weren't aware of back then.
