It's fine now I seen it perfectly. Such a beautiful place....the movie well 3 of his movies were filmed on location in Hawaii weren't they. Blue Hawaii, Paradise hawaiian Style, and another one ?

I like that movie so much. It´s my favourite movie. I like the songs, even that silly song "Ito eats". I especially like Almost always true, Rock-a-hula baby and Ku-u-i-po and Slicin´ sand.

But I like the movie the most because I love to see Elvis swim and lay on the surfboard. And I love seeing him only wearing a bathing suit.

He looks sooooooo sexy in that movie. But he always looks sexy. But he looks the sexiest in Blue Hawaii!!! :wub:

I'm gonna go with "Blue Hawaii" (for now).

Remember: tastes are subjective and thoughts and feelings change with the passage of time and slings and arrows of life.

I like "Blue Hawaii" because it was the first movie to show Elvis really cutting loose. The photography and staging at the end, during the wedding sequence, is totally awesome, IMO, too. I won't even fall into the trap of discussing the soundtrack, on which Elvis' voice is too amazing for words. But if we're in that vicinity . . .

I find the comment about Elvis having a more mature voice in the time of PHS fascinating. I am very fond of the title track. His voice is darker on this and he does seem to sing it in a more potent, operatic style. I remember watching "Aloha from Hawaii" for the first time and wondering where this cool number was from.

I know GGG was filmed in Hawaii, but I don't think of it as a Hawaiian or a beah movie. On the other hand I do think of Girl Happy as a beach movie.

Of the choices on the list my fave would be Blue Hawaii.

I went with Blue Hawaii because I think it bears the most repeated viewing.
In actual fact, I love all of these movies.

When my daughter was first born, I naturally found myself awake all hours of the night and I can tell you, nothing beats Elvis' movies when it's 5am, you're sleep-deprived and freaking out.
There's something so carefree and cuddly about his films, it's like dipping your agitated mind in a warm bath.
