Gladys' body had already been removed before the petition for removal was filed, apparently.
Meanwhile, Dr. George S. Lovejoy, director of the Health Department, said the move of the body of Mrs. Gladys Love Presley, mother of Elvis, from her grave to a crypt directly below Elvis' was illegal.
He said Tennessee law requires that permits be issued and signed by the Health Department before a body can be moved.
Mrs. Presley's body was moved Friday night; but Lovejoy said the proper permit was not filed with his office until yesterday morning.

I certainly didn't realize this. It would seem that whoever was moving the remains would have had all of the paperwork in order before the move was made. Thanks for clearing it up!!

Its called not being bothered cause that what makes people post silly things, just skip it instead of making a comment or they will keep doing it.

Dick Grob. Elvis had planned on firing him along with Red Sonny and Dave during the summer of '76, but was talked out of doing so because he wouldn't have much security around him. Lamar Fike was also part of that letting go squad but Elvis kept him aswell and just let the other 3 go.

We were never really sure they were two people Jen. We thought this person went under at least 4 different names. Some people don't have a life unless they can cause someone pain.(n)
Gail, these names appeared in the radio shows to harass and the results were as you know.

wow you guys, I just read this entire thread from front to back....all quite interesting - and Joe K. I'd love to be involved in the chat room whenever it is held. I need to go into your site and listen to these interviews. I did read Nancy Rooks book (Jen loaned it to me) and I loved it. Have not read anything by Dick Grob though as of yet (well except EWH)...
As for Wanda June Hill....I looked at her site and saw her items from Elvis.....she certainly has alot. I don't know what to believe about her as I am just now learning more...I do notice though (please don't shoot me) that elvis seemed more interested in her daughter Julie.....wouldn't you agree? I'm not saying anything bad about that - but most of his correspondence seemed to be with Julie - not Wanda.
Looking forward to reading more - and hopefully joining your chat on this subject.
