Hi my Elvis buddies,

I have been away from here for a long time, i know have a part time job, i go to college full time and it's getting nearer and nearer to my driving test.

So i thought i'd ask about this: Has anyone ever heard Elvis talk about Marilyn Monroe ? By 'anyone' i mean his entourage. Or have they ever mentioned what he thought about her ?
I'm a fan of hers too, and find her life very interesting. And think that what a hot couple they would have made !!!:lol:

ELVIS-MARILYN ONE-NIGHT STANDOctober 1, 2006 -- RETIRED William Morris agent Byron Raphael has many juicy stories about Hollywood, but he's kept what might be the most salacious one a secret for 50 years - how once he delivered Marilyn Monroe to Elvis Presley's hotel room for a one-night stand.

Breaking his silence for the first time to Page Six, Raphael says that in 1956, his bosses urged Presley to ask out the blond bombshell as a publicity stunt, but when he approached her on a studio lot, Monroe nixed the idea. "He was very embarrassed, but I think she turned him down because she felt it was too public," Rapahel says. "But Presley didn't give up and secretly set up a meeting.

"Two weeks later, Elvis called me and said, 'I want you to pick up Marilyn.' She lived in an apartment with Shelley Winters and I don't think she wanted Shelley to know where she was going.

"It was a rainy night and I brought her to the Beverly Wilshire [hotel] and we went upstairs to his room," Raphael relates. "When he saw her, they came together and, without saying a word, started kissing. I was in shock and I didn't know what to do. Then Marilyn, who was 10 years older, said, 'You're pretty good for a guitar player.'

"After two minutes, they went into the bedroom and I didn't know if I was supposed to leave, or stay and wait for them, so I sort of just dozed off. The next thing I knew I was startled awake by the door opening and I dove behind the bar. And they both walked out stark naked. I didn't say a word. I just stayed quietly."

When Monroe and Presley went back into the bedroom, Raphael bolted. "He either put her in a cab or she stayed the night, I don't know," the agent recalls. "A few days later, when I mentioned Marilyn to Elvis, he said, 'She's a nice gal, but a little tall for me.'

"I knew that this was the sort of thing that could ruin their careers. They were two of the most famous people in the world and Marilyn was still married to Arthur Miller at the time - so I never said a word."

The Hollywood dealmaker concludes, "There were a lot of other young girls I would bring up to see Elvis - but he would never mention Marilyn again."

You know, looking at this photo of Marilyn, I feel like the guys must feel when they see Elvis. She was one hot lady! Gorgeous photo.

They would have been one hot couple, but not more so than Elvis and AnnMargret. That's still my favorite couple.

There was an incedent in the 1950's where Elvis had invited Marilyn to one of his Hollywood parties but she never showed or maybe it was vice-versa, I don't think the two ever met in person though.

....."the sight of Elvis?s barely civilized friends launched an unmistakable look of fear and disgust. Oblivious to her reaction, Elvis began his roundabout way of asking for a date, mentioning the party and inviting her to come.

?Oh. I?m sorry. I can?t,? she declined in a breathy rush, seeming far more subdued than her vivacious screen self. She wasn?t feeling well, she said ? a headache from some kind of allergy ? and promptly pulled a bottle of pills from her purse. It was one of the rare times Elvis was refused. "

Although the thought of the King and Marilyn getting it on is the stuff that legend is about, I don't think it ever happened....but then again, it does make a wonderful piece of gossip!!! :P:P:P

:cursing::censored:I read a tabloid report (no offence to Elvis' memory) where Elvis and Rock Hudson were lovers. It mad me sick, disgusted ,angry. Elvis was a heterosexual (straight man) It's more believeable he had relations with marilyn Monroe. I read he even threw Jim naybors out of his home for making a pass at him. I hate people to trash Elvis' memory..so i tend to believe the good stuff.

Byron Raphael? This is the same dude that said he 'scored' women for Elvis. He's a liar.

It's rubbish.

Getlo's once again correct. It never happened. Ever. Pure fantasy.

(Sorry to steal some of your terminology, dude...you're rubbing off on me)

I read he even threw Jim naybors out of his home for making a pass at him.

They probably linked Jim to Elvis through Rock.

Jim Nabors and Rock Hudson were together for many years. One of those Hollywood secrets.

Like Cary Grant and Randolph Scott (who each batted for both sides).

Elvis and Marilyn!....The stuff of fantasy!......and I reckon fantasy is about as far as it ever went. Who knows how it would have turned out had these two got together??.......My guess would be that it would have hit the extreme end of the scale at one end or the other.......Happy ever after or total destruction.....anyway...we`ll never know.

Back in the "old" days Hollywood was full of switch hitters. It wasn't quite so in fashion as it is today.;););)
