There are definitely some interesting remixes there!! Although it seems that there is a definitive line between people who like Spankox remix of BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE and those who don't!! There doesn't seem to be much of a middle ground on this one...
Personally, I REALLY enjoyed the remix of BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE and from the clips that I heard of the other songs on the CD, there is definitely some potential there in my opinion. While not all of the songs work for me (at least not in the 30 second clips that are posted), I think some of them (like DON'T BE CRUEL, TEDDY BEAR and TOO MUCH) sound quite unique!!! (y)
I'll definitely be interested to hear the entire CD!! (y)

well i had a listen and some of them are ok but the others sound not soo good the remixes just don't work on all of them but i like all shook up,too much, your a heartbreaker,i think if i had a few too many to drinks and wanted a good dance round my house i would put on this cd and enjoy all the tracks i just don't think this is what i want elvis music to be turned into some of them are just alot of noise thrown together with elvis singing and i don't think this is the type of thing we will remember in a few years to come unlike elvis music which has lasted many years and will continue for many years to come this might just be pushing it a bit too far

Being a fan who enjoys remixes, I have mixed feelings on this one :hmm:
I kinda like the versions of Jailhouse Rock, Too Much, Baby Lets Play House, and That's Alright, but wan't too keen on the other versions.
I guess you can say "to each his own" as far as this release goes - I'll probably wind up getting it ;)

Regardless of what everyone thinks of the remixes on the CD, it does manage to do one thing....get everyone talking about Elvis!!! (y)
And hopefully once this CD hits store shelves, it will get the non-Elvis fans talking and who knows....maybe we'll be able to convert some of those non-Elvis fans into TCB-World members!!! ;)

yes it gets people talking about elvis but is it in a good way not if these remixes are anything to go by i would still like to see them try new things but maybee be a little more sympathetic to the original recordings

Well maybe it wouldn't create ALL good word of mouth, but perhaps if non-Elvis fans heard the remixes and didn't like them, then maybe they would seek out the original versions and THAT would lead to them becoming an Elvis fan! :hmm:

yup i suppose you could be right and that would be at least one good thing from this train wreck of a cd and it might create new elvis fans cos this is what alot of the young folks are listening to so although we think its bad cos we know what the originals are like the people that are not elvis fans might think this is new great material most of the songs out there sound like rambling nonsence so you never know

Thanks Nathan!!! (y)
My feeling is, if the remixes help to create new Elvis fans, then they've done their job!!! :D
