Ladies and gentlemen

During the last months I've read several threads on this forums, which I consider to be silly and childish and makes me ashamed of being an Elvis fan. Threads like 'Do you still cry' and latest 'Elvis stops the rain' seems to be the most irrational and silly blabbering that ever found its way on this site.

I may risk a warning from the sensitive editors of this site, but I have to ask: Am I the only one, that believes that we have to get this forum back on the track with more rational thinking and sober discussion? And I have to ask: Is crying and blabbering similar to be a true Elvis-fan? Lets face the facts about the big E and do some research, before the 'true Elvis-fans' makes another low. Please. Its 31 god**** years he died. Do we have to act like the man died yesterday?

I'm sorry you are ashamed to be an Elvis fan. I have never been thank God.
Many things are silly and childish ,including this topic, IMO.
Research wouldn't hurt most of us.
As was said about drugs and autopsies; don't read them.

BTW: You're the one that's "fixated " on Elvis' toilet, arent you ?

I forgot to answer the "title "of this thread .
Yes, I laugh all the time. People are funny .

I think each one of us deals with the way we feel about Elvis in our own way. I know that he has been gone for almost 31 years, but to me it doesn't feel like it. His passing hurt me worse than I can even express, I am not over it yet. Sometimes just talking about Elvis helps, even if it is kind of off the wall blabbering. Call me silly, but that's just the way it is.

With all due respect-I'm not sure "rational and sober discussion" means the same thing to every human being. So many may have differing ideas on those concepts-just like on every other idea or concept.
Comment topic you want to discuss-If you don't want to comment on the other subjects its okay. I may not comment on some of them but if others want to its fine by me. Facts are a great thing but a little fun is also not so bad.

IMO Some people are emotional-thats who they are for whatever reason. If they still feel like he died yesterday its okay by me. Some people are the opposite-they don"t even bat an eye when a close family member dies-thats who they are. I can not decide how they should react or feel.

We all mourn the loss :( and celebrate Elvis's life (y) in different ways... as we are all individuals. Elvis would EXPECT us to be TOLERANT of each other. IMO he would be unhappy with those who are not tolerant in the way affection is shown for him.
There are thousands of threads in this forum. Post in the ones you enjoy and IGNORE the ones you don't. It really isn't rocket science.

TCBKIRCH! just take it easy and please don't feel responsible of all the silliness in those threads.. afterall, being among the wiser ones must be relieving enough for you..in next thread, I can try to make drawings of his death scene just for your sake..maybe then, you wouldn't feel ashamed of being an Elvis fan..

Very well said, thank you.

I :lmfao: with Elvis all the time, I have lots of saved videos of him roaring and wheezing laughter and I laugh right alongside him - with or without him, laughter is good! (y)

You're too late dear. He's already done that -- and quite proud of it too. ;)

I'm sure if i would go to graceland and see Elvis his grave for the first time,i would get emotional..i don't see anything wrong with that..

Some threads can be a bit silly, but well, women seem to be interested in some things about Elvis that guys find silly or not interesting..

Hey what does "IMO" stand for?

I will tell you the same thing that I tell people who criticise me and others for discussing the drugs, guns, weight etc.

If you don't like a thread, don't post on it.

There is room enough on here for a wide cornucopia of threads and subjects. I suggest sticking to ones you either have an opinion on, or have some expertise in. Leave the others well alone.

Your "true fan" assessment is elitist and divisive. Just because someone is still sad about his death, or they want to write about his freakin' hats (as one post shows) does not make them any less of a fan than you or I, or anyone.

Some people are just miserable and it appears you are one of them. Yes I still cry for him. I will not try to explain why because you are incapable of understanding. You probably are incapable of allowing everyone to have their own opinion. I feel sorry for you.

Talking about silly threads...

I will close this useless thread after this message, and please, do not post more threads like this one.
