Can someone please help me? I heard a beautiful song of Elvis on a dvd, but I donīt know the name of that song.

Elvis sings: "Say hello to the king. I say thank you for your songs. No one else will take your place in our hearts. In the thunder rain and snow, youīll be always on our minds. We just donīt understand why you had to go."

He sings that three times. Does anyone of you know this song? Whatīs the name of this song?

HI Nicole.....sorry but I don`t know the song, but I`m 100% sure it`s not Elvis singing this song
To me it sounds like it`s a song about Elvis
On what DVD did you hear it?

Nicole Presley

Itīs on a dvd called "Elvis Presley forever". But Iīm sure itīs Elvis singing that. I know his voice very good. And Iīm sure he sings about Jesus.

If you would have heard the song you would know for sure that itīs Elvisī voice.

Did you ever listen to the song Iīm talking about? I know it is Elvis. If no one can tell me the name of that song, Iīll find it out by myself. As soon as Iīve found out how itīs called I will write it here.

Yes. Thatīs the DVD. But Iīm sure itīs Elvis singing that. I think itīs a gospel song. Iīm sure Elvis sings about Jesus. Have you seen the DVD?

Never ever heard of Elvis singing such a song. I am sure that this is sort of a tribute song. Even some impersonators sound like Elvis sometimes, so it's obvious.
If Elvis ever sang about Jesus (other than the gospel songs we all know), at least somebody here would have heard of it, I assume!

But please, let us know what you have found out.

That's not a Gospel song. It's a tribute song. It's hilarious to see how people think they know Elvis' voice. Years back there was the same confusion about the album Jerry Lee Lewis & Friends. Everybody thought it was Elvis singing duet on "Save The Last Dance For Me" while it was clear it wasn't Elvis. I have seen people been in awe about impersonators who didn't even come close to Elvis in his worst state of being......

i found out by googlin it the song is called Heavenly luck or Up In Heavan

That song is also on the track list of the DVD. Now does that sound like a song Elvis sang? Now, I do know that sometimes "new" songs do surface, but not on a DVD like this. And most times when they discover a newie it's hot news all around the Elvis world.

Did you ever listen to the song? If you would have listened to it, you would know that Elvis sings it. I know Elvisī voice better than you think. Or do you think itīs someone else that sounds exactly like Elvis? No one can sound exactly like Elvis. Thatīs impossible.

Has anyone in tcb-world ever listened to the song Iīm talkinī about? Please only answer if you heard it. If you havenīt heard it, then itīs no wonder that you think itīs about Elvis. If I wouldnīt have heard the song I would think that, too.

Maybe you all havenīt heard about it, because the DVD itīs on is made in Germany. And I live in Germany. Thatīs why Iīve seen it first.

It is NOT Elvis singing that bloody song!

Three seconds or less should be enough to convince anyone.

There are a lot of voices that sound similar to Elvis out there ... this is not one of them!

The facts are there, Nicole. Do you really think that an unknown Elvis track would pop up on a German DVD ... a DVD made by a company who would not have the rights to use Elvis' actual voice on it?

Check the DVD credits - you will find the vocalist listed ... and it is NOT Elvis!

Nicole, best way to know for sure what Elvis did record and did not record, is to read them books about his recording sessions.....after that you listen to all the songs that he ever recorded and after a little while, you`ll know for sure when you hear a song if it`s Elvis or not.....

I own the DVD and can safely say that this is not Elvis singing. The song is at the end of the dvd and it's a very sad finish. The song itself is a deeply touching and slightly depressive ballad. But that's not a Gospel Song. It's a tribute to the King!!!
This song shows in text and pictures his life in short form.

Believe it or not ... :D

Actually, you were serious and just don't want to admit it after being called out.

Unfortunately, this thread is being closed due to both GETTING OFF TOPIC as well as the INSULTING AND INAPPROPRIATE NAME CALLING that has been going back and forth.

Regardless of whether Elvis did or did not sing the song that Nicole was asking about, the tone that several of these posts took was not called for. Members are allowed their own opinions, without being called "fools" or "baboons" for expressing them. Whether or not these comments were made in a joking fashion is possibly in the eyes of the reader to whom they were intended, but as soon as some members expressed their offense to the comments, they should have CEASED!!! :nono:

We certainly want all of our members to have a good time here at TCB-World, but in the future, PLEASE try and have a good time without all of the excessive name calling!!

TCB!
Mike
