Sometimes his genius and amazing talent gets pushed to the back burner, here are a few examples of his brilliant talent, with these gems.

I agree there are so many songs he sang that most people never heard. I love all of these songs. When someone says they arent a fan its because they have never really listened to him. To songs that prove what he can do.

Joe, to those, you could add so many, like: "Blue Moon", "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", "Surrender", "Any Day Now", "Just Pretend", "Hurt" etc.

But NOTHING displays his talent like gospel music, in my opinion. "Stand By Me" is certainly an excellent example. However, colour me biased: I'm a major fan of his first fully-fledged gospel album. Just listen to the unbelievable sweetness and purity of his voice on every track (the remastering is utterly superb, too):

Of course, you can already hear the main twelve on the definitive FTD release of "His Hand in Mine", but it's great to know these samples are out there for the general public. On the other hand, it's a great shame that the Amazon entry only has one extremely remedial "review", while all of Sinatra's albums get endless (if very deserved) manifold praise.

And how should one hear this great music? Well, I think there's only one way: With headphones. In the dark. SUBLIME.

Elvis' voice is clear, crystal clear, and as always, he brings me in, with the emotion, in his song.

Thank you, Joe, for sharing.

Thank you Elvis, for being you.
