In The Netherlands we also had the 'I wanna be famous' program Idols on television. This year it was for the second time.
The runner up from this year, Maud, apparantly like Elvis. She has worn this t-shirt on several occasions and some time ago even during a tv appearance. Elvis still popular among the girls even today :D

Yeah...he sure gets more airlpay than he did before the likes of ALLC and Rubberneckin'.....proving whether you like the re-mixes or not - and i do - they were/are good for Elvis' popularity.
Not much on Radio One over here in the UK...but most other radio stations play ELVIS on a regular basis. As you say Annie, not enough to satisfy...but better than none at all...which was the case a few years ago (y)

Way back in Indonesia, we have elvis radio special called "Remind To Elvis Presley" twice a week..3 hours each ..been there since 1989 til now. In the beginning I remember they were reading Elvis bodyguard book "E:What Happened" :P and also "Elvis and Me" on aired, they would discussed them with listeners..also some elvis trivia, those who win they got new elvis CD.
Speaking of that, does anyone here have access to hear Elvis on Sirius...?
:hmm:

Yeah, you kind of get the feeling that is ok to be an Elvis fan again, when I tell people I've got an Elvis web site there is a 50/50 split as to the reaction, some say cool (usually the younger people) and the usual reply from the older people
I agree with you Chris, we need something new in the UK chart!

Yeah....do you get the feeling that bmg have missed the boat yet again already ? They certainly did with ALLC......leaving it so long to get Elvis back into the public eye...well ears :P
All that popularity created alot of new fans...then BMG, in their wisdom, leave it almost a year to release Rubberneckin'.
I know that the advert that accompanied ALLC had alot to do with promoting that song...but you'd think they would think of something alot quicker than they did.......and indeed have ever since (n)
