The story of Getlo

:king::DGetlo was a pet chow that Elvis had. Elvis was very fond of the dog. The picture shown here is when Elvis brought the dog on stage during one of his performances in Vegas. Getlo had a serious kidney aliment and Elvis flew the dog on the Lisa Marie to Massachusetts to get the very best care possible. Still the dog would die a few months later at Graceland. Elvis had spent thousands of dollars trying to get it help. Getlo is mentioned on the Jungle Room Sessions CD which is from the recordings done at Graceland.

According to Elvis A-z (i know it has seem errors in it) Elvis bought Getlo in 1957. The vet who cared for Getlo when his kidneys were failing was a Lynn Kitterson.

It's a typo. Getlo got sick before she was even a year old. She was bought in 1975.
