WHY, thats what ive been thinking lately,WHY have i loved elvis since as long as i can remember.WHY, does elvis have such a fan_ship that adores him.there is people with great voices from the past and from the charts now there is people who are better artists, as in , write there own songs play loads of instuments, e.g. -- stevie wonder john lennon billy joel. ect, maria carey broke elvis record of the most no.1's in the u.s.a. will she be remembered in 50 years time
but no one receives the love that elvis does, what is it about the man that he gets this un reserved love from people that never met him and in some cases wernt even alive when he was. :notworthy
i would love to here peeps replies about this :D

I think the reason why, is that we sense how Elvis was.
All he wanted to do, was to give his fans pleasure, which he did.
Elvis cared about others and always tried to do the right thing, in the circumstances, given.

WOW Geordie...that is one question that will receive many different answers. (y)
Personally, I believe that Elvis has a certain charisma...an 'aura', if you will....that drew people to him. He was a mega superstar, yet he presented a humility in the public eye. He continued to be able to relate to those less fortunate, which gave him the appearance of being down to earth. He was well grounded, I believe, due to the way he was raised. To be respectful, to have manners and morals, and to never forget his roots. That is something that has to be instilled into a child...it doesn't just magically appear at the coming of age.
For women, I think he had this unresistable sex appeal coupled with a boyish charm. Most women just wanted to nurture him, protect him, cater to him and fullfill his every need and whim. I think that is what he needed from women...what he lost when he lost Gladys. And hey...face it, most women would be more than willing to help him out with any need or desire he may have...;) At least, I certainly would!:)
My hubs says he can understand the women going nuts over the man...but says that he can't grasp why men would feel so drawn to him. :supriced: Did I mention that my hubby is not a big Elvis fan...(Yes, I ask myself over and over "Why did you marry him?" :lmfao:  :lmfao:) I cannot speak for the male gender on this one...so I am interested to hear their side of it.
I guess basically put, Elvis was Elvis! Amazing, electrifying, and unmatched to date! :king: I just love that man....(y);):P

To put it simply...
It pretty much goes to the HEART of the man :king: as much as the music... as to why to legacy endures.

I don't usually buy albums/cds because personally, I just can't stand to hear the same voice over & over again. I usually buy soundtracks. Some artists [I'll admit, very few] sound like they're singing the same song, just different lyrics, the music is basically the same - think Gary Puckett & Union Gap.
With Elvis, well he meant it when he said I Sing All Kinds. He can go from singing Rock to a Ballad to R&B to country and he can do it with an incredible ease - he just flows from one sound to another.
Then, as mentioned, he was just a man with a good heart, the saying goes, Good guys finish last, but in his case he finished first and he keeps making a comeback even after he's been gone.

Elvis Presley - his name is known even in the smallest corners in the world. Even after 30 years everyone recognizes him. He was the first. He shook the world with his gyrations, won millions of teenage hearts and although many years after his death, he won my heart too :D The first thing that drew him to me was the music and his voice. Never, until then, I had heard such a wonderful voice. Considering the fact that I first saw him performing Aloha From Hawaii on TV, his looks didn't amaze me at first  - The thing that got my attention was how he treated his fans, all the things he did to please them and the way he communicated with his audience. My instincts were telling me he was special and a very down to earth man.
He had charm and charisma like no one ever had, have or will have. No one will ever come close to Elvis - he was truly one of a kind! :king:

To me it's because he had charm, charisma, a beautiful voice, and was the best looking guy ever! :king:
