I voted for GI Blues.
My favourite film and I like the remastered GI Blues CD.
Loving You was about Elvis life in the beginning of his career.

Difficult decision, i like both, but the uniform did it for me

I like them both-"Loving You" is closer to the Elvis who sold rock music and made parents nervous. "GI Blues" is a more refined performance by Elvis but a good movie.

Loving You by a mile.
GI Blues was the start of the rut, a new family-friendly Elvis.

I can't watch GI Blues all the way through.

The first of the bad movies, IMO.

And Juliet Prowse ... Ugh!

Loving You had a better plot, and much better music. And Elvis looked great.

But GI Blues?

Meh ...

Has to be "Loving You".....I tend to agree that "G.I. Blues" was the start of the "formula" movies.....I think Elvis himself would be voting for "Loving You" if he were on here!.......Still, each to his/her own I guess.

Loving You...no doubt about it! He looked awesome, and he seemed to be interested in doing movies at that time. I think it was, as Getlo and others have pointed out, before the rut got into full tilt.

GI Blues for me. I don't think it was a bad movie. And Elvis was breathtakingly handsome.

I went with Loving you because frankly its the only of his scripted movies where he had the Moves on stage of the Young pre Army Elvis. In the rest including GI Blues , when he breaks into song he's walking down the street or looking through windows (like Frankie and Johnny) and the invisible band is playing with him. In Loving you he's a young singer who comes from a poor background who sings on stage and moves like Elvis. Plus I always loved the finale when he jumps off the stages and sings through the audience and you see his Parents there enjoying watching their son become the great he was.

I enjoyed both, but if i have to pick between the two i choose Loving You, as that flim comes close as to what Elvis was all about, in his early stage concerts of the fiftys!

I went for GI Blues, because it's the first Elvis movie I ever saw, for as far as I can remember.

And I still like to watch it every now and again.

Some nice acting, setting, comedy and great songs.

GI Blues has a better soundtrack. The movie is very light and you can tell he had fun with Juliet Prowse. The scene with those little dolls (Wooden Heart) is really adorable and it showed that Elvis had a big heart and didn't take himself too seriously!

Loving You is kinda boring, in my opinion. The title song is such a drag... I know I know...It was a Gold Record, but it's very diet coke compared to say LOVE ME TENDER. Best song is Mean Woman Blues and Teddy Bear was the best performance.

I voted for G.I Blues...I love the songs "Didja' Ever" and "Big Boots", in the movie. (y)

Definitely Loving You. The music was better, the movie itself was better and Elvis looked so **** hot in those jeans.

Loving You by a mile.
GI Blues was the start of the rut, a new family-friendly Elvis.

Yes, his pre-army films did have a certain 'edge' to them that was absent later...
