If you met Elvis now, a 73 year old man, with his life shown on his caring face, perhaps his grey hair thinning, perhaps not. He would be Elvis, wearing normal clothes, just a person, like all of us.

What would you say to him, if you knew you could say anything you wanted to? We all know that he was concerned at how he would be perceived, when he was "old" (his words, roughly).

I would say: "I love you for the person you are now. You are loved beyond measure, and a blessing to me".

I would thank him for being a big part of my life. For singing me to sleep when I was a child, he showed me the importance of loving my parents, for being my first real crush, providing me with hours of enjoyment through his concerts and movies, giving me many hours of reading pleasure, being there for me when I needed inspiration, singing at my wedding, filling my nights with sweet dreams, helping me appreciate what i have by showing me it can be taken in a flash, he showed how important all mankind is no matter where or what they came from, Elvis has also blessed me with so many friends just by having him in my life.
