View Full Version : Let's Dream - If You Met Elvis Now.......

Merry

Let's dream.

If you met Elvis now, a 73 year old man, with his life shown on his caring face, perhaps his grey hair thinning, perhaps not. He would be Elvis, wearing normal clothes, just a person, like all of us.

What would you say to him, if you knew you could say anything you wanted to? We all know that he was concerned at how he would be perceived, when he was "old" (his words, roughly).

I would say: "I love you for the person you are now. You are loved beyond measure, and a blessing to me".

Hugs for Elvis,
xxxxxx

Awww Kimmi...I won't post all of the things I would say to him....;) But here is a sample...

"E...I know that you needed a rest. You were sooo tired of the life that you once loved, and I can understand that. It's so good to see you! I have loved you for so long...and I've missed you terribly! So has the rest of the world! Gosh...let's just get married now and get it over with...what do you say??";):P

(Of course, I would also caution him about all of the naughty girls...like Rosanne, Gail, Kelly, Elizabeth, Danielle, Brandy, Lisarose, and on and on and on...and yes dear Kimmi...even you...;)who only want to take him away from me...the REAL love of his life...:supriced::doh::king::lmfao:)

Some great responses here :D  Lea...good idea on the caution :)

I'd say a simple "Thankyou, for all you have done for us, for staying the person you are" He has taught me a lot and I am grateful for it.

I like dreaming, Kim. Just like you. Just like all Elvis fans. Here what I would tell him;
"Elvis, if you could only knew how much joy you brought into my life. If you could only imagine the love your fans have for you. The love I have for you. You were always like a member of my family. I know you made mistakes. Who doesn't? We love you anyway. You have a hold on our imaginations and our hearts. We will never forget what you gave of yourself to us, to the world. You were, you are and always will be one of a kind. Thank you..."

Thanks babes...;) It was my first attempt at making one about Elvis. I've made them for family, but never one for him. And as luck would have it, this thread popped up this morning after I finished it and I felt compelled to put it on here. Perhaps I'll get better at it with time...:P

Lea! Don't warn him away from us!!! We have our rights to ya know! lol...

I'd just hug him so tight and tell him I'm so happy he's still here with us and we've missed him so much and to never go away again! I'd cry an awful lot though too! It would be such a miracle to have him still with us.

When I think of Elvis at age 73, I think of my own Dad, who is
almost the same age....I imagine Elvis' beautiful warm smile and
that twinkle in his eyes...I would sit down beside him and hold his hand like

I'd shake his hand and thank him for being my hero then we've talk about everything that was going on in this world and after that i'd ask him if i could sing some of his music with him which would be great.
Cause i've been singing to his music for years and after hours of singing me and Elvis would be hungrey so we would then walk into a Burger King and everyone would say oh lord that can't be Elvis Presley.

I would tell him that I believe he's the greatest entertainer that ever lived or will ever be. He's made an impact on my life that started when I was 3 yrs old and shows no signs of stopping. Pretty much on a daily basis, I find inspiration not just in his music but also in the type of person he was. How many of today's celebrites think they are just the shit when in reality ehen compared to the King they are small and insignificant. Yet they refuse autographs and act as though they are above others. But The King always considered himself a person just like you and me. He was the first superstar and THE BEST there will ever be.

I would thank him for being a big part of my life. For singing me to sleep when I was a child, he showed me the importance of loving my parents, for being my first real crush, providing me with hours of enjoyment through his concerts and movies, giving me many hours of reading pleasure, being there for me when I needed inspiration, singing at my wedding, filling my nights with sweet dreams, helping me appreciate what i have by showing me it can be taken in a flash, he showed how important all mankind is no matter where or what they came from, Elvis has also blessed me with so many friends just by having him in my life. Thats what I would thank him for.

first I'd be crying then i would hug the man and say "thanks, thanks for being there for me through all those years .i know you don't know me but i feel that you are a humongous part of me, who i am and who a wish to become. you've been there when i needed you most and when i just felt like smiling thank you just by listening to you you would calm my nerves or make me forget all my troubles so i say again thank you mr. Presley."

If he was alive today and old Artist I had not leave that wonderful man and Singer, never because the most importent was his wonderful and kind heart.

I have want say to him Thank you for all his wonderful music and that he is so kind to his fans and make us glad with his music.

He is always in my big heart
