Has anyone heard about this movie that was supposed to come out August of 07? You can check out the website it's www.thetruthaboutelvis.com. This guy has done a lot of reasearch on Elvis! And something weird has happened, all of sudden someone has stopped him from releasing the movie right before it was supposed to come out. I think EPE has something to do with it.:secret: Not sure why??? There is quiet of few people that talk back and forth on this guys (the producer) myspace page & his website about why the move hasn't been released yet. I am not sure how many out on this board believe that Elvis didn't die on August 16, 1977. But I think this guy was on to something and got stopped. ;):compress: Any thought??????

Dont know if the movie has been finished at all, and I doubt if the movie would add something new. But from the trailer the director did a good job in finding some interesting people regarding the death of Elvis. Al Strada is there. Dan Warlick is there. Surely i would see it, if it was realesed, but I wouldnt be surprised, if it turns out to be a joke...

I talked to Adam when he started this whole thing. Sent him a few contact names, etc.Warned him what he was in for. ;)
I check on his place off and on. No idea what's going on though.
Appears someone or something has stopped him.
To clarify his intentions { or so I was told. }
This was done to lay the myth to rest that Elvis didn't die.
Not anything else. He certainly did get a lot of interesting people to talk to him.
He's young, I'm sure he'll recover . ;)

Adam never had any money as far as I knew .It was some film company.
I talked with him until he announced that stupid Reward . Then I was done.
Geraldo only offered One million when he tried this. Times have changed .

Nobody wants an old Elvis. It's the young Elvis, the one EPE presents to the world. It would be too embarassing. Especially since after all these years they never knew. Not even the family would want an old Elvis. He deserted them. But most of all they wouldn't want anyone else to have contact with him. Someone who could actually tell the truth. Imagine how fast that could bring some people down. Of course they could contribute that to the ramblings of an old man. Most of all it revolves around money, too many people stand to lose too much. Money transcends the love of family and friends. So, I don't care. There is no family, no friends only a business.
TiredOldMan...you have made some interesting points here. (y) And I do believe that the last line is pretty much correct...as sad as it may be...:'(

Yes, I remember hearing about this movie, but when nothing more was said about it last year, I thought it was just put on hold...I wonder why it's been stopped from being released!

With all respect.
I personally, would love an old Elvis. He is still the same person. Who is Elvis, anyway? An image. What's an image? Not real, it is the person, the caring, loving, thoughtful, insightful, person......
Lisa doesn't speak about personal times with her father, which is extremely telling, as she loves, and adores him.
Nothing embarrassing about getting older, just wiser, more caring, more experienced, more loveable. Older people love more hugs, it's true, lol.
Elvis didn't desert his family. Who would be able to live through that?
The people who care, and there are many, would embrace him, on any terms.
With respect, Lisa has been involved in her family, which is understandable; however, as a daughter myself, whose father is gone, I know for a fact, that she would be thrilled, over the moon, in fact. She can't be doing, be thought of as well as she is, if she wasn't, just lovely. Children tell the story. Look at how her children adore her? That is fact. It is true, blood is thicker than water. She loves her daddy.
Money is nothing..... Hey, I've gone from being extremely comfortable, to living in an American Barn, so we can be with our beloved animals......
True people, true, caring, decent people, feel this way. They are the ones who matter.
I would give a man a hug,b, a snuggle, and say to him "everything will be alright, trust in love".

"No friends, no family...."
Dearest Lea,
Sorry to say something, but honey, if you met Elvis, wouldn't you consider yourself a friend?
I know the context is different......anyway,
As an aside, there are many friends. As an example. You know, I don't like Marty Lacker, he has done his deal with me, but he still loved Elvis. Marty just has an ego which needs feeding, the same as the rest of his circle (except for Billy).
Nothing alters the fact, that they love Elvis.

Hey Kimmi!
You know, there are 'friends' and then there are FRIENDS...(y) Simply meeting Elvis would not necessarily make you a 'friend' of his. I was implying two things with my post:
1) I think that he was feeling soooo alone at that time in his life. Constantly feeling as if no one understood him...that no one cared for the man behind the image. ;) I don't think that he felt secure with the people around him anymore. So many had left, and the book by Red, Sonny, and Dave was emerging. Just things like that made him feel insecure about a lot of things in general. He just couldn't grasp the reasoning behind the departure of some of them...and it left him wondering who he could really trust.
2) He seems to have been 'sold down the river' so to speak since his death. I think that may have been the thought of TiredOldMan when he posted that...and in a lot of ways...I do agree!
Hugs,
Lea

Lea, been there, done that. He was one of my friends on myspace. He found me - I'm guessing because my page is all Elvis. We chatted back and forth for a bit - and he was very convincing - then he'd remove his page - change it - put it back, etc. I got tired of the games. He tried too hard to make you believe it was Elvis. He has a great voice though.

Why leave? Obviously we don't have all the answers or we would not be here searching.....we always welcome any input from others who may have more knowledge than we do.
As for me- my reasoning for saying Elvis did not live on Aug 16, 1977 - if indeed it was a cover up as some say - there would be way too many folks involved for that to be kept a secret this long. Way too many people there when it happened, etc.
If he were indeed still alive - I'd welcome him back with open arms! :king:

I could be so, so wrong, but you know, when you love someone unconditionally, all you do, is love them, want the best for them, look out for them, and love their family, too.
Dearest Kelly, thank you for your lovely words. It is easy for me to say these things, as they come from inside me, through care and I know you feel the same way too, we all do.
Please Tiredoldman, please don't feel so tired anymore, please let those who love, help give you energy.

ok..im confused. I have always believed that Elvis died on August 16th of 1977. I went to the site above.. thetruthaboutelvis.com and found some things on there interesting. Like what ronnie mcdowell said which is true...that elvis said he'd be leaving and wouldnt be able to see them anymore...or what linda thompson said about her mom's statement about the wax dummy... Im confused because although i can understand why elvis would need a break from everything...why would he just leave and have us believe he was dead. I dont know. I have been to gracealand numerous times and each time i went past the grave site i got chills. You can somehow feel his presence there..imo. Any thoughts are welcome...

Well Brandy...don't feel all alone. ;) I too believe that Elvis left us on that dreadful day in August...but I tell ya, the stuff that is on that website makes you go :hmm:! It is interesting at least. (y) And yes...I have read soooo many statements from people who say that they have 'felt' his presence there at Graceland. I always just attributed that to the fact that a person goes there to pay homage to him...so it stands to reason that emotions might play into those feelings. Just guessing. ;) But I think it is perfectly normal to question. In part because we would LOVE to see him alive and well. At least I sure would! (y) So I guess a part of us, the part that loves him so much, just wishes that it could be so. Someone once told me that there is about 18 inches between the head and the heart...but it may as well be one hundred miles, because they are far apart in their opinions! How true, how true! ;)

I've been on sites where someone always shows up as "Elvis. "
It doesn't bother me one way or another.
As long as they don't try to hurt anyone .
I think people will talk to you, TiredOldMan , whether you're Elvis or not.
You made some nice comments. It's too bad you don't leave them and join in the conversation.
I don't see where anyone said anything offensive .
The story of Elvis "faking" his death has been going around since August 1977
It's interesting to look at all the claims. Some make sense; some doesn't.
There have been many "fakes" out here since then--and some folks have gotten hurt . That's the only problem I have with it.
Just don't argue about it, because no one can prove it one way or the other . ;)

Of course, it's nice . For some reason, my dreams have always been tinged with too much reality . I'd be tickled to death if Elvis didn't die. I've also seen many "fans" that wouldn't like it one bit. So, if Elvis was still around; I'd just hope he found what he was looking for and forget the past.He left us a lot to remember him by. (y)

I sent him a private message asking him to come back. I told him that we welcome everyone's opinions on this site. Some may agree, some may not, but we are all family here. No word back though.

Okay...so since some are getting 'weirded out' over this The Truth About Elvis thing...just thought I'd throw something else at you guys. I'm sure some of you have seen it and/or know all about it. ;) But for those of you who know nothing about Dr. Donald Hinton...here you go! :supriced::lmfao:
SdFoQ3Et14U
Donald Hinton is another nutcase just like Gail Brewer-Giorgio....Bill Beeny....and all the other "Is Elvis Alive?" enthusiasts....
I think it's time we stop foolin' ourselves into thinking that Elvis may still be alive...he's gone....he wouldn't have faked his own death....that's a sily notion in itself....he definitely wouldn't have put his fans and family (most especially Lisa) through something like that. Sure, he might have entertained the thought of doing so at one point but he never would have gone through with it.....
Has anyone ever seen this footage??? :blink:kzbjKWReAW4&feature=related
You scared the ever-living crap outta me with that one!!:'(

Hey TT! Well, I don't believe that Elvis is still alive...I just thought that since some seemed interested in the movie thing, that they might also want to check this out. Some of our fans are young and may not know about all of this stuff. ;)
:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:I am soooo bad for posting that... But what can I say? I am a joker...:P Hope it didn't scare ya too much Tony...:lmfao:

Don't you think it's time everyone just leave people alone to sort out their own feelings on this?
IMO, iit's not hurting anyone to discuss anything as long as we can be civil.
It's people jumping on others and telling them what to think that drives people away.
And, NO! Nothing hurts Lisa as bad as her dads friends talking about him.

People (some of them) thinking that Elvis may still be alive are only fooling themselves and that is what gives fans a bad rep and that's what's silly, IMO. There is absolutely no way that Elvis could still be alive. He didn't fake his death, either. He left this world on August 16, 1977.
(And don't go yelling at me, Cameron. I'm just makin' a statememt)

Frankly, I don't worry about "getting a bad rep" as an Elvis fan.
If you love him it doesn't matter what anyone else says or believes.
I've never been concerned about what anyone else thinks of me .
People lose a lot when they don't listen to others opinions and think only they know it all.
None of us know everything about anything. It's impossible.
I've met a lot of nice people that believe Elvis is alive .
It doesn't bother me in the least.
I've never considered it "my duty" to correct them. Other myths about Elvis concern me more.

very nicely said Cameron. I was one of those folks a long time ago, I bought Gail Giorgio Brewer's book, and other stuff I found online really sounded convincing.....but it was only wishful thinking on my part.....the more I thought about it - the more I realized it would be almost impossible for it to be true......unfortunately. I think some of us that love him so much really want it to be true - that he is still out there somewhere alive and well. I don't begrudge anyone for thinking that.

You would have loved growing up in Dallas..:blink:every November they come out of the woodwork to go stand on the grassy knoll and try to figure out where the 2nd gunman must have been standing. When that time of year came around my parents and my friend's parents would always tell us that we would be in BIG trouble if they heard of us going down there. Bear in mind.....it's a dangerous part of town, without the JFK nuts.;);)

I guess I just don't see the big uproar some make about it.
The only thing that bothered me about that was a few fans that got carried away when they believed someone that claimed to be "Elvis." Sooner or later ,lies or game playing is exposed.
I have a very good friend that still believes Dr Hinton. Doesn't hurt me in the least. I've done all I can to show her what I've found and given her my opinion. The rest will come as time passes. No one lives forever .;)
No, I see no reason to put anyone down for their beliefs .
It's as bad as trying to make someone change religions.
It's their right to have their dreams without being called names.

Nope, I wouldn't like living in that all the time. It must get very old.
Of course, you're double lucky as most of the "fake Elvis" live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. :hmm:
Just kidding. I would constantly be "investigating them" :lmfao: It's not the "believers" that bother me; it's the nuts that try to fool others into convincing them they are Elvis. I just tell my friends to be sure he brings DNA when he comes to visit. :P
Most of the ones I know can laugh and joke about it too.

Maybe some believe that Elvis was blessed with the magic that Tom Hanks' character had in the movie THE GREEN MILE. I just happened to see that late last night...I had forgotten what a great movie that was. It certainly showed us the negative side of living way beyond the years that God had originally planned for us.:blink::blink:
AS Per Cameron: "Other myths about Elvis concern me more".
I sure do agree with that Cameron! Especially the ones that are continually shoved on us by the so called "friends".
