cencorship on FECC board.

Its annoying to learn that there is cencorship on the Elvis-collector site.
If you mention Behind the image2 dvd,the Greensboro concert and so on your post is deleted.Who knows what else is forbidden to mention there.....
Friends of mine is even banned from writing on that site.
Dont know how things are here but I guess I`ll find out.....

I think that the collectors site is thinking that they are the one and only site in the world...last night i posted a reaction on a thread that was asking for the relaeses by ftd, and i just answered that the cd's are shipped out but couldn't tell the guy the source because off the guidlines and just mentioned that the source is very gold (elvis collectors gold) and in a minut i recieved a mail from fecc that i was asked strongly not to mention that website or source anymore... i thought that this site was meant to be to bring you the latest news and so on..i don't get it, the only thing i know that this is between willem and andylon. Please guys be a sport and lets get friendly with eachother, there is enough bull in the world! amen...

Oh, and regarding certain boot labels, you can't say (deleted--see guideline #9) around here.

Only kidding! :wink: I would say that it's for reasons both personal and business that you get that over there, and to what extent I don't know exactly. But the way I see it, if people want to use their board, it's really a small price to pay to play by their rules, even if certain ones might seem petty to some of us.

I know it really freaked me out the first time I tried typing LMP, referring to Lisa and not a boot label, and it came out Disney. Some people thought I was nuts until they tried it themselves. It's kind of funny.

I hate that automatically changing of unwanted words. Many people don't have a clue why that happens and because of that it becomes bigger than it would have been when the words wouldn't have changed.

I also didn't know why it happened (still don't know to be honoust) so I asked about it. Suddenly my posts were deleted, I became banned and received a nasty email from the administrator?!? Fortunately I became unbanned after I emailed the administrator and made clear that I had nothing to do with that group, those people, those products and those labels, but only asked about it out of curiousity.

Since TCB-World.com isn't affiliated with any Elvis related products, I really don't care whether you're talking about the lasted FTD or the latest LMP. As long as it's not illegal :P

I don't know wht they don't replace the words with some asteriks like: ****** or something like that. I have a tag board on my site and you can choose what to replace the offending words with. That way, anyone reading the post can see a word has been deleted.

Replacing it with 'Disney' or some other stupid word just makes the post hard to understand.

A message board for Elvis fans shouldn't be so heavily censored. Some 'imports' have been well produced and have historic Elvis recordings on them.

If we all listened to the FECC censored posts, we'd be buying up tons of Disney CD's! Our collections would be full of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck! :?

I got banned for been friends with somone fecc do not like, and cose i was trying to help out a person that needed a few covers i had on my site.
I gave him the url to my site and the post got delited, i made a new post, asking why they delited my post, they did the same thing again.
So i called them a few nasty things :lol: and i was gone :twisted:
You see, you cant talk back to them, it`s a board only for them self.

I am probably the one Kenny was talking about when he said he got banned because he knew someone on their "site" who was banned.

Before anybody ask me: I was banned because I told them what I thought of them.
Like Kenny said, most people, when they are told "jump", they'll say: "How High?"
I was one of those who'd rather say: "Why?"
And since you either follow them blindly or get lost, then they kicked me out for being honest with them.
Now watch your back if you agree with either me or Kenny from now on.
I am not a bad person, as Kenny would confirm, but maybe sometimes I have a big mouth... Whether I am right or wrong, that doesn't give them the right to kick me out to say what I want to say.
if they can't accept criticism, it's because their "site" is only for them and don't give a **** about anybody else.

This being said, I'd just like to say that I have not talked to them or about them for a long time and I don't even waste time thinking about them. I won't waste any more talking about them...
I just wanted to back my good friend Kenny.
I won't say anything else anymore about these people.
As far as I am concerned, the case is closed and will never be re-opened.

Anyway, this is great to see a new and seemingly real site about Elvis, but because I am new here, we'll see.
But just getting the link sent to me by Kenny is good enough to know that this site is good.

I saw that your avatar is a bit 'stretched'. That's one of the side-effects of the transfer from moving to the old to this new messageboard. You can correct it by simply re-attaching (or selecting) the avatar. That should fix it.
