I've just been listening to this CD for the first time and wondered what you all think of it.
For me it was different and interesting. I thought Elvis' voice was amazing, and it sounded good against the new backing tracks. I thought none of the songs featured were nowhere near as good as the originals. I did wonder though what Elvis would've thought of these new sounds. Does anyone know how Felton chose the the songs for the album? Did he choose the songs which he liked? Or, did he choose the songs which he thought Elvis didn't do very well (thinking he could do them better)?
All in all I think the CD was ok but the originals are way better.

I like this album. Agree with your comments but there is one song that, for me, is better than the original - loving arms. Possibly hey jude as well as I read even elvis was not happy with it and did not want it released.

"Hey Jude" is one of the better songs on the album, but I really like the original "Loving Arms" too much for the re-mixed version to be an improvement.

I love this CD except for the last track. Blue Suede Shoes. I was really impressed with Guitar Man/What'd I Say, and a few others. But, the song I think sounds 100% better is,"Faded Love". To me, the new music sounded a lot better than the original with added strings & horns. I believe this version was,"Guitar Man"45, B side release for the original album called,"Guitar Man". I remember as a kid playing this,"Faded Love" version over and over.
