I just thought I'd tell you that Aunt Lois kept going on about how much Elvis loved Lisa. I don't know why but just hearing her talk about that touched my heart. She talked about how Elvis bought her the mink coat and him thinking it was so great and him not understanding that Pricilla didn't think it appropriate. Not trying to start and arguement or knock Cilla here really. Just saying that I guess he just wanted to lavish things on his daughter.

I can certainly understand why he was like that toward Lisa. I can understand why Priscilla thought it inappropriate. When you grow up the way he did with nothing, you want everything for your children that you never had; heck, didn't Elvis have a fur coat himself? If Elvis had lived to see his grandchildren born, he would have really gone gaga and bought anything possible for them.

Talk about a neverending love affair! Those grandkids would be the end all for Grandpa Elvis! I love seeing the pictures of Elvis with very young fans. He seems to have always had a special place in his heart for children.

I think we have different values we'd like to instill in our own children.
I'd probably be a little stricter than Ekvis .
Especially after hearing what an ornery kid she was .;)
By her own admission. I'd say she was hard to handle.
Most fathers that can't be around their kids all the time ,seem to spoil them.

Neither was wrong or right, IMO. Just loved their daughter .
Kids don't come with instructions...unfortunately.

I bet she couldn't hold a candle to the "celebutots" of today though. I'm not saying that Lisa wasn't a bratty kid..it just seems like these days they are ALL rotten.:D Like Suri Cruise..running around at 18 months old in her Burberry jumper and her Chip and Pepper jeans.
