Elvis' private plane

I just saw a show on luxury planes and they were showin how over the years famous planes have been custom desigend to fit personal tastes.

Strangely, Elvis' private plane, the Lisa Marie, wasn't on there. But Air force One was.:hmm:

Anyways Elvis' plane was more luxurious and fancy than AF1 was, IMO. It looked bigger as well.

They showed the Phoenix Suns, of the NBA, and their plane wasn't all that either.

That show showed that Elvis' plane, to be so old, is still ahead of even today's top customized planes.

No wonder they called it "the flyin Graceland", lol.

IMO, the plane was the highlight for me after visiting the home when I went in 02. I liked it more than the cars and jumpsuits.

In my opinion, Elvis's plane "Lisa-Marie" should have been included in that show. I never had the chance to visit it but I saw some pictures of it and I must say that it was very luxurious and stylish...

Producers and writers decide what is involved in specials such as this. Perhaps they just did not think the Lisa Marie was as special as some they used. Or maybe they were not Elvis fans.

Ah a much decent post than about EP's vomit. I totally agree about the Lisa Marie. It was a classic piece of artwork then and still is in 2008.(y) was fascinated by it myself along with the automobiles and motorcycles. I like how each room inside the plane is detailed and themed with it's own image. Each section of the plane is different than the other. EP had his own VCR on the plane long before they were even on the mainstream market.

I've gotta believe that the LISA MARIE was the PREMIERE jet when it came to personalized private jets during the 1970's. :hmm:

Speaking of EP's private planes. I would love to see Bob Sillerman somehow get the Playboy Big Bunny brought to Graceland. How cool would that be to see arguably the most famous private plane in the world at Graceland, and one that EP used for his tour in 1974?(y)
