MEMPHIS, TN (February 5, 2008) – Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., The MED Foundation, and the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center announce a special Spinout Rally and Unveiling of the new official Tennessee Elvis Presley License Plate benefiting The MED Foundation.

Classic cars from around the Mid-South will rally at The MED's Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center at 877 Jefferson Avenue, 8AM - 9AM on Tuesday morning, February 5th.

At 9:15AM, the Spinout Rally will caravan to Graceland at 3764 Elvis Presley Boulevard, escorted by the Shelby County Sheriffs Department. The classic cars will then be led through the grounds of Graceland and park along the front drive.

Officials from Graceland, The MED, the State of Tennessee, Shelby County and Memphis, along with those responsible for the development of the Elvis Presley License Plate, classic car rally participants and a few lucky Elvis fans will assemble at the steps of historic Graceland.

At 10:00AM, the new official Tennessee license plate featuring Elvis Presley, the King of Rock‘n’Roll, and the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center will be unveiled in front of the Graceland Mansion. The license plate will then be placed on the first Rolls Royce ever owned by Elvis. This Rolls Royce Phantom V was custom made for Elvis in 1960 and is being made available for this event courtesy of Graceland Archives and Elvis’ Automobile Museum.

This official "artist proof" plate, license number (EP)0000, is being donated to the Graceland Archives and will become a permanent part of their collection. We will have a very special announcement about the other official "artist proof" plate, license number 00000.

A portion of the proceeds from all Elvis Presley License Plate sales goes directly to support the wonderful lifesaving work done by The Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center and The MED Foundation. The Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center is this region's only Level-1 trauma center and has served the trauma emergency needs of a 5-state, 150 mile radius from Memphis, TN. for over 20 years.

The Elvis License Plates are now being distributed to those that have pre-ordered them and will soon be available throughout Tennessee at your local county offices and by mail order.

In the event of inclement weather, the classic car procession will be cancelled, and the Elvis License Plate will be unveiled at Elvis’ Automobile Museum, directly across from Graceland at 10:00AM.
