While on the topic of auctions as above - spotted on Ebay an Elvis RCA 78rpm of 'Blue Moon' up for opening bid of $2.5 Million! Genuinely worth around $100 there is not even a description of its condition.

If you have money to burn there are three days to go, no bids as yet!

Look here for a laugh. . http://cgi.ebay.com/ELVIS-PRESLEY-BLUE-MOON-July-6-1954_W0QQitemZ250209261202QQihZ015QQcategoryZ306QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Mike.....as of noon today I get no response. I have thought about sending him an email asking him if he would take 1 million.:lol: The joke is on him when he gets hit with the listing fee! :lmfao::lmfao:

The listing fee is about the the same ...around $5 I think it is. It is the amount he will have to pay if someone buys it ( at that price) that will have ebay laughing all the way to the bank.

Maybe the President of the " Edge of Reality" fan club ought to make an offer - to be paid when the Moon turns blue.

im sure i had this 78 on the hmv label years ago, and my mam sat on it :'(

she was too scared to tell me and i didnt find out it was broke till about 1 year later when i took it out just to look at ( as you do  ) when i told her what had happened she admitted the crime :'(

i forgave her tho, after about 2 days :P

OK - I sent him an email. Here it is:

I'm fairly new to EBAY but just found this. I have been a fan since 1958 and been looking for 2 records I don't have for 30 years and this is one of them...I need it to make my collection complete. Would you consider taking $1m for it? :lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:

You mean you had this record and lost it in 1978 ? If not, counting from 1958 would make it 50 years, not 30: your math is like his expectation :D

Ill let you have the other one you want - for 2.5 K and I would consider any offer.

PS : What is this other record you want? ;)

Actually, if you'll read it a little closer it said "I've been a fan since 1958" and have been looking for 2 records for 30 years (since his death).

I'll let you sell the other one for 2.5 and I'll offer you $5.00 on this one.
