I was curious if there was anyone out here who is a member of the Elvis Insiders group from Elvis.com? :hmm:
I was looking at the membership benefits and I see they offer quite a few things through their website, like access to rare photos, documents and videos.
I was considering giving it a try, but thought I would see if anyone could offer some advice on whether it's worth the money!
Thanks in advance!!

I enjoy the Insiders. If you plan to go to Memphis during Elvis week or BD week, you can buy tickets to events. This past August was a big year for guests...lots of people who worked with Elvis and Priscilla. The tickets were expensive. You do get 10% off on tickets to Graceland and Shop Elvis. No big deal. I like the Insiders Forum. I have not watched the videos, but have checked out some of photos, documents, etc.

Thanks for the info. cprimm! (y)
Since I live in New York and don't get to Memphis too often, the Elvis Week/Birthday Week tickets part of the membership wouldn't do me too much good...although it would definitely be a plus if I do get back to Memphis!!! (y)
The main thing I would be interested in would be the archival stuff along with the 10% discount on ShopElvis.com!!! That's why I was wondering if the archival stuff is worth the membership fee...is it actually stuff that hasn't been seen before or is that just their marketing ploy to get people to sign up?? :hmm:

I haven't spent a lot of time on the site yet, but I did go through some of the archival photos - pictures of checks, receipts, etc. I wasn't impressed. But, like I said I didn't go through all the pages
Didn't spend a lot of time on the threads page, it seemed okay. It does take more than a few times on a message board for me to get to know folks.
Mostly I joined to get the discount on merchandise as I wanted to buy some of the pricier items.
Sorry for the lack of info, that's all I've done so far.

I'm not an Elvis Insider, but would like more info on how i can be and what the cost is. I know priscilla let the insiders take a tour of the Graceland Stables, that would be so cool.

Good but that's it.
-No question to talk about cd/dvd 'Imports'
-No 'rare' pics/video...but a lot here on TCBWORLD/FFCC/..
-EPE get a eye on Insiders..
-ETC..
I resume : expensive elvis.com/Insiders/Shop/ TO MUCH BUSINESS

I'm an Insider and I enjoy it. I don't even go to the forums or anything but being able to use my discount - and Insiders have their own conferences in Memphis during Elvis Week - had their own Reception at Graceland with Elvis friends and to view the decorations at Graceland - to me that's worth it. I couldn't afford to go of course - but one day I will be able to go back to Graceland......the discounts alone are worth it to me.

As many has complained ; the term "Insiders " doesn't appeal to them. They've also told me it was not worth it.
Perhaps if you're at Memphis a lot or buy things from their "outlets", it might be worth it.
I never buy anything from EPE or their affiliates and I'm hardly ever in Memphis anymore.
I guess I'm more into remembering "the way it was." ;)

I've been a founding member of the ElvisInsiders since 2003.I have made a lot of very good friends there who i might never have met otherwise.I've used the discount on shopelvis quite a few times.Although i haven't been to Memphis yet (i'm going next year)The discounts will come in very handy plus there are events going on that only ElvisInsiders can get into.:D

I joined back in August. Being a member has been ok. There are the extra perks of being an Insider, that is if you get chosen ie: stable tour, food network show, etc. Otherwise, there isn't too much "insider" info coming forth. I seriously doubt that I will renew. Also, on the discussion board there is a very low tolerance of actually discussing the various aspects of Elvis and his life. Saying how much you love him and how good-looking he was is about the extent of many threads.
JMHO.

Elvis Insiders is worth every penny. I'm a founding member.
The Elvis Insiders forum is great fun and you get to know loads of other Elvis fans from around the World on that.

JMHO.There are some very serious conversations/debates going on at the moment that people have put a lot of work into.Yes there are threads with people saying how much they love Elvis but you'll find that on any website about him. Yes even this one.

I think this question was also asked on FECC, propably here too at some time or another, and my answer then is the same as now; unless you live in Memphis (or are planning a trip there) and your a huge Elvis fan then it's worth the cost.
Otherwise, it's not even remotely worth it.

May I add, that I haven't regretted joining the Fan Club. I will probably renew at the end of this year.
Mike, just had to add, love your new avatar. Was it to commerate your new status?

Thanks Lisarose!! (y)
Actually, I just temporarily changed my avatar as a joke between me and a couple other members of the board!! :P
But I am glad you like it.... :D
And thanks for the information on the Insiders Club. I probably wouldn't be able to use the discounts at Graceland (at least not in the near future) but I definitely could use the 10% discount on ShopElvis merchandise!
My main question was whether there was enough truly rare stuff on the Insiders website to make it worth the investment! :hmm:
