Just watched Shawn Klush who was voted the worlds greatest Elvis tribute artist.
He was on the Alan Titchmarsh show on itv in England.
Mr Titichmarsh introduced him by saying "Priscilla Presley describes him as the nearest thing to her late husband".
I`ve just emailed the show to explain once again that they were divorced when he died.
Its unbelievable how many people thing they were still married. I guess Priscilla is very believable as the widow.

I dont think people still see them has married, to me it was always elvis and priscilla even when they were divorced. if you asked someone about elvis and the woman in his life i bet they would mention cilla first. i think this is another thread for cilla bashing.(n)

I have to agree (not about the Cilla bashing) but folks automatically thing of Priscilla as being his wife - to this day - even though they divorced so many years ago.

But still, I can't imagine how that must make Girabaldi feel. They were together for like 22 years! Oh maybe he just got used to it-- or not! I always thought it strange that when she became so visual once again promoting Elvis, she and Girabaldi broke up.

Priscilla and marco broke up, just not sure how long ago. He was still in the picture when she was during elvis events.

She is reportedly with someone else now. I just can't imagine what it would be like for a man to live in the shadow of Elvis. I think it's disrespectful to the men. By all accounts (aside from a peice of paper) she was more Marco's wife than Elvis's.

Every Elvis fan I know is well aware they were not married when he died. Until we make the media retract their statements, what good will it do to get upset or take it out on anyone else ? That might work if we embarrass them enough times .;)

This is about her assuming a place of honor. She once thought that place of honor was a huge burden. When did it become less cumbersome? Oh that's right when money was to be made. And I can't speak for everyone but there are far more people who would gladly want her to drop out of the limelight. They wouldn't complain an iota!

I DO understand, Missy as I used to feel the same way.
With the passing of time and some hind sight; I'm not so sure we'll be better off. I believe none of us have any idea what she's done over the years; good and bad .
Will we be better off with Sillerman?
Time will tell, I guess.
