I remember seeing a picture of Tom's wife years ago and she was a bit heavy. But I can't remember when it was taken. I think he got a divorce??

Yeh, I just got the idea that she was not happy about being so far away from Elvis in that pic., I don't know why though. Things just hit me that way when I see them.

I think Priscilla was very possessive but also not able to join in with a group of people that weren't of her choosing because she wasn't an easy going fun loving person like Elvis was.

diane you just described me to a t what makes some people able to get on with others and some not? i have friends at work like this who i would not socialise with outside of work, they find it hard to have fun and enjoy themselves.

She does seem rather stiff at times. And then in some clips you see her joking around and having fun. But for the most part, it looks like that interaction was mostly with Elvis himself. It's a shame that she didn't understand how much he was a people person and that she would have to share him so much. Especially when the fact was hitting her between the eyeballs before she even married him. Did she actually think she was going to change him to so great a degree?

My understanding from all the people who were around them that elvis didn't want priscilla gettting close to any of the wives cause something might slip.

I don't think that is true at all P-31. She was left alone to go shopping, go to lunch, and hang with several of the wifes. Elvis wanted her to have companionship while he was away. She was really close to Patsy, Jo Smith, and Joannie. They did alot togeather.

Maybe its not true but l have seen that in books. She was close to joannie and pasty, but the others weren't that close.

Their is definatley a code of silience in a situation like that. I've lived it with husband being in a band. It's weird. Very secretive. But things get out anyway somehow eventually. When you are around, there is this atmostphere going on. And then the strange women who seem way to friendly with band members. It's hell I tell ya!

I am not sure but I don't think any of those other women in the photo is Tom Jones wife Linda. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of them together. She rarely goes to his shows and is pretty shy of cameras and crowds.
I tried to find a photo of them and did not have much luck but did find this small bit of info about her.

That's Patsy and Joannie, the blond I don't think is Tom's wife but I can try to find out.:)

Pris was not told she could not get close to the women, irregardless of what may have been read, otherwise she would not have had the relationship she did w/Joannie and some of the other wives. I would think Elvis would encourage it as it was a very closed world they lived in.
And like Missy said, she was quite often seen shopping alone, or w/one of the wives, etc...
