When the compact disc made his entrance BMG USA started releasing the
Elvis albums in cd format,They were digitally remastered by one guy who's name is Rick Rowe at that time the producer was Don Wardell....
I always thought that the CD's from Rick Rowe's hand had a much more "updated sound" then they do now (in some cases)
I think you all have the The Memphis Record..It sounds very "punchy"and modern totally different mixed,,,I liked that sound a lot... That was also done by mr Rick Rowe
Wanted to know if anyone knew the person and what he's doing, and if you liked that sound too. The releases now are better , but just after Rick Rowe was removed from the Elvis job they were awfull for some time..
Albums from his hand mostly were released in the US only
Just Listen to the late 80's US pressings with the black backcovers,And it says Digital Series Remastering Engineer/Producer: Rick Rowe
Some Titles":
King Creole
His Hand in mine
Pot Luck
Elvis is Back
Memphis Record
Top Ten Hits
Number 0ne hits
etc
Tell me about it... :hmm:
