Just had fom nigella lawsons cookbook elvis's famous peanut and bananna sandwich! pretty nbice! check it out

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter
and Banana Sandwich
2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 small ripe banana mashed
2 tablespoons butter
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk.

Been there done that. Hubs loves them. Can't make them, they make me gag. If he wants one, he has to make it.

I have tried the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich and it's real sweet. i'm surprised that Elvis didn't have diabetes from eating this rich dish.

My husband likes peanut butter and banana sandwiches but he mashes them together and puts it on the bread cold.....the combination never appealed to me. I like strawberry preserves with my peanuts butter. :)

I`ve had a peanut-butter obsession for quite a while now,I don`t know where it came from or if there is help available.....and I guess if you really want to scoop out a baked potato and fill the inside then peanut-butter is as good a filling as any....isn`t it??..........Oh God it`s worse than I thought.

I love peanut butter !! Almost as much as my grandkids .
The bananas I eat seperately though....can't say I like them together .
