I just noticed this record sleeve which talks about a 1974 Easter TV special. Anybody know the history behind this? Was a special ever made and not aired?

Oh No, not again !!! :)
Seriously, that record sleeve that mentioned the upcoming TV Special was just a re-airing of the 1973 ALOHA Tv Special.
Nothing More, Nothing Less ...
Hope this helps.

No, there was no special.
RCA advertised this on the above single and a couple of brochures, but nothing ever came of it.

Elvis should have done 1 TV special a year.

Three movies a year in the 60s ...
Vegas twice and one TV special in the 70s ...
No, it sounds like too much of a rut once again.

The March 1974 Memphis homecoming would have made one helluva TV Special............film all five concerts then cherry pick the highlights.......ahhhhh.
