For all you fans of the cbs special....i finally recieved a DVD called 'Just Live' this morning.

It contains the '77 CBS Special and although the quality is far from DVD quality....its pretty good. Its probably the best quality i have seen.
It has chapter selection and pretty good sound too.

It also contains bonus material ( which i haven't looked at yet ) containing some 50's live material and interviews with such people as Elton John.

When i get the chance i will scan the cover so you know what to look for.....if you don't have a good copy...its certainly worth getting if you see one. (y)

BE AWARE

there are alot of dodgey dvds on the net.By dodgey i mean not all they seem.you may think your getting quaillity but most times thats not the case (just thought i had to warn if any of you take the chance of buying over the net)

onto this dvd ,it sounds pretty cool chris.Who is the company who has made this realease? i have alot of footage (8mm etc etc) and may have it somewhere :hmm: .Sounds cool though (h) i can safley say im a big fan of the '77 elvis but thats another discussion :lol: .Great find this dvd sounds chris (y) good job!

A friend of mine got it from a contact he has at a record fair. Its certainly not something you would find at amazon...e-bay might be worth a look.
Its in a nice digi-pack case. I still haven't watched the bonus stuff yet, so i can't tell you what that is like.
Like Aron says...be very careful buying the 77 stuff. There is some real crap around. This one is very good. Picture is probably 7/10. Sound about the same.

I will scan it in later so you can see what it looks like (y)

Sounds 100% better then the crappy VHS-transfer I have on VCD! I will have to keep an eye out for this one! Thanks for the info!

As i said...its not perfect by any means...but alot better than i have seen before......well worth getting (y)

Congratulations on getting your dvd mate!
I hope it plays much better than the one I have. Mine, which has the other un-shown footage from the shows used to make up the special, has parts that skip and freeze up; very disappointing :'(

Hope you enjoy yours, and look forward to seeing the cover. :D

Have you watched it now ? Yes, i agree with Aron..too many people try easy way to make a living by selling crap quality of elvis music' :'(
anyway, can hardly wait to see the scan of it..:)

Hmmmmm...looks to be perhaps a bit sharper and with richer color than my DVD, which I've been very pleased with. Nice find!

i wish EPE will released it to the public , so we all get the clear pictures of it, they said they would not do that because elvis wasnt in his best shape ..well they said 'not now' does not necessarily 'not ever' :P.... who knows, maybe hopefully..

It has been discussed many times.....but i just cannot see it happening (n) Maybe the only chance we have would be through FTD.

But as you do buttonhead.....i keep hoping :)
