View Full Version : What would you like to see on display at Graceland?
Out of all the original lost items not on display at Graceland, what would you like to see there in the near future? I would like to see the yellow Pantera sports car the most. The one that he bought for Linda and then took it away from her because he said it was too dangerous.LOL He wanted it for him self. It's also got the shooting the dashboard story that Myrna has told about when she went riding with him in it once. Also I would love to see the Liberace style Aloha cape that was made for that show but was too heavy for EP to wear on stage. That would be an eye catching attraction. I also would like to see a recreation (inside the new museum when completed) of what the last recording session equipment and layout looked like. Also his tour bus. It used to be on display but they need to bring it back. And his first white cadillac limousine with the TV set and the microwave in the back seat.
And although not an original item, but a small monument and statue to Scatter, EP's favorite pet would be nice. The children would love that.(y)

your ideas sound good....I would like to see graceland furnished like it was when he died there...his taste - not Priscilla's. I know it was red everywhere - but atleast it would have been his taste.

The long Aloha cape was displayed at Graceland with the Aloha suit back in the 90s. I guess you missed it.......:P

I think there are alot that would like to see exactly how it looked on his final days there. I'm not that interested in what Priscilla thought it should look like. When we were there last I just tried to picture each room as it looked from the pics that we have seen from the "red" era.:supriced:

Yea me too....I know Priscilla's tastes are nicer - but to me it's more real having Elvis' furnishings there when he died....the "red era" as they say.....it probably would give me a headache as Jen said.....but I want to see it.

It's been disputed as to whether that bus was Elvis's actual touring bus....and I believe that the bus that was on display was proven to be a fake and removed from being displayed shortly after this....

I'd like to see Graceland the way it was in the very beginning when Elvis and his mother did the decorating, before Priscilla and Linda. But then come to think of it, the jungleroom wasn't there then was it? Maybe after the jungleroom then.:)

I have heard about this too. but never from any reliable sources. Just hearsay and rumors. It would be nice to see the original, wherever it is.

I would like to see his bed(the one upstairs)I've seen photos of it on Linky Dinky, but it would be interesting to see it downstairs. It would be a job to get it downstairs. As far as the Red Funishings,i like the white sofa and it should remain that way.Is it true that the white furniture is what he purchased in the 50's?The red is too guady. But anything unseen would be cool with me.

Well, I am not sure, but somebody once said that the white look was there until 1974 or so. And i think this person also said that he may have liked the "white graceland" better.

Would you like proof? Ok, fine. Here is the proof. This was taken either 1993 or 1994 by my friend. Please note, the inside of the beautiful Aloha Long Cape that is behind the Aloha Suit.
