Do yall find it strange that EPE aint releasin any drawins of the new plans yet?

The plans for the pyramid are already visible and have gone public. That's what's makin it more appealin to the folks here.

The Graceland plans have been known about for almost 2 years now, and nothin to show for it.

All they keep doin is repeatin what they've already said, a hotel, visitor center, museum, blah blah blah.

Sillerman's spendin much, much more than originally thought. Meanin it's gonna be much, much bigger than originally thought.

****it, we wanna see somethin visual of what it's gonna look like, especially those who are judgin it already without seein it.

I'm dyin to see what it's all gonna look like. Why make the fans wait, especially the residents around there?

My friend told me he was suspicious as well to why they're actin all secret, but tellin the fans not to worry.

They know the die hard crazies are already "all shook up" over the news, lol. So why not cure the curiosity and release the drawins? That don't make any sense.

It aint like they aint got anything to show. They do. The CC has already seen some type of layout or drawin, but EPE won't let the media see it for some reason.:hmm:

IMO, by them not releasin SOMETHIN, they're actin all guilty as if they got somethin to hide.:hmm:

Is it gonna be a theme park like Disney after all and they don't want the fans to know it yet? If not, then prove it.

Sayin to the fans it aint gonna be a theme park and to read their almost 2 year old FAQ post don't mean nothin.

As I said previously....a lot has changed since they posted that FAQ.

My source strikes again.:notworthy

He told me today who's gonna be in charge of the architectural designin for the new plans, so I looked him up online.

His name is Alexander Lamis.

I found this by googlin his name and Graceland together and this came up.

Alexander Lamis is a Partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects. He has acted as Project Partner for many public, cultural, and educational projects including the American Revolution Center at Valley Forge, the first comprehensive museum of the American Revolution; a master plan for Graceland in Memphis, including a new Elvis Presley museum and visitor’s center; the Nashville Public Library; the Jacksonville Public Library; Northrup Hall at Trinity University in San Antonio; the Broadway Residence Hall for Columbia University; the Center for Jewish Life at Princeton University; the William Gates Computer Science Building at Stanford University; and The Walt Disney Company’s Yacht and Beach Club at Walt Disney World.

I don't find it strange at all that they are not releasing any plans-it can all be subject to change for all kinds of reasons.

This is my opinion only, I'm not getting at anyone.
As far as I'm concerned, EPE will do what they want. They only care about the money. I'm just going to wait and see what happens. We can talk about this all we want, but it won't change anything. As I said, EPE will do what they want regardless of what the fans want.

Support, like respect, is something to be earned.

No, everyone deserves respect.

We are all unique, and should be treasured. Not cut down, but built up. That is why the world is falling apart. Old fashioned values seem to be going. People are completely disrespectful, it is everywhere. (We need to raise our children to be respectful, to be courteous, and have lovely manners. People need to say 'no' let us be respectful, in turn, we then should receive respect. It is simple). To speak with someone who is courteous, these days, is becoming more rare, and it shouldn't be the case.

"Hola" is Spanish, for "hello".

I love the way you speak, Lakeisha, and the way you phrase your words. I can imagine, you right here in front of me, you give me a vivid picture, of how you speak, and I enjoy it, immensely. It is a wonderful cultural way of expressing yourself, also, to those you care for.

Lakeisha, I'm sorry you are being picked on.

It is Christmas time. We are ALL special.

For anyone who would like to listen, please enjoy this, and think of this time. Yes, every day should be like Christmas, as Elvis said. I wish people would listen, and read the good things, as there is a lot to learn from Elvis, on being a very special human being.

Everyone:

It is time to stop ignoring the moderators' requests and questioning what we are doing or not doing.

I am an easygoing person and do not believe there are too many people that I can't get along with, and all of us are fans like you who want to enjoy this board and contribute content-wise and not spend all our time following up on reported posts and well, babysitting.

So at times we have to step in, and at times we have to step back. Why are not all people/situations treated the same? Half the time the people who report others are themselves guilty of the same behaviors they are reporting. Also, I think we all as a group need to learn the skill of occasionally ignoring things we don't like to hear or don't agree with, especially when it is apparent that someone is just trying to get a rise out of us. Not every post from everyone is going to sit well with everyone else. (There is a little bit of real-world reality here.) Besides that, due to the nature of our system, there are many actions that we do take that most people have no idea about.

So anyway, there are different approaches and types of actions that we may take. As evidenced by the sorry excuse for a thread that this one became, those things don't always work. So if these sorts of things keep happening, and you cannot work your issues out or you choose to ignore directions from us, then we have to simply delete posts and/or close threads.

Please remember that this board was made by fans for fans, and we have always been proud of the fact that people could come here and speak their minds and ask questions and not be ridiculed and have snide remarks thrown at them from half the members -- practices that are common elsewhere. When this site denigrates into that sort of forum then we have to take action, when it is not our desire at all to have a Big Brother sort of role, or anything resembling that.

But we will keep the peace, and those who are peaceful will be kept.

We are all here because of Elvis. Let us keep his spirit alive here, especially now at this time of year that was so special to him.
